A natural process of philosophical and technological research to lead to the most intimate and desolate sound with illuminated, performative and virtual staging. She works with animation artists and tries to carry out a show always spun around it.

This first mix was created together with Maguette with the intention of transporting us to a dreamlike space where suddenly we could feel what it is like to be on the shores of the Pacific Ocean in the area of Lima, Peru. Organic and natural sounds from the environment, a desert and humid aura at the same time, intertwined mist and breeze with deconstructed sounds that brought strength, movement, and healing energy to our first show.

Artist bio @mbodj

Maguette Dieng is a DJ and music programmer from Barcelona dedicated to promoting music from various fronts. On the one hand, she performs as a DJ under the name Mbodj, and on the other hand, she is a co-founder of the music collective Jokkoo, formed by six members of the African diaspora based in Barcelona. Together with them, she promotes electronic and experimental sounds rooted in Africa and its global diaspora. They also organize parties where they invite these artists or collaborate in the programming of music cycles such as Lorem Ipsum at the Macba or the Electrónica en Abril festival at La Casa Encendida.

Currently, she manages the art gallery @c_o_r_d_o_v_a_ and the experimental art school @cchhoorroo, as well as the multidisciplinary space @foc.tot, where musical events, workshops, exhibitions, and artistic demonstrations of various disciplines take place.

The driving force behind Maguette's work has a lot to do with transforming the perception of electronic and avant-garde music and how sound can and should create community and possibility.
