ਜੈਸੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਾਜ ਭਗਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਕੀ ਹਰਨਾਖਸ ਫਾਰੇ ਕਰ ਆਜ ॥
God saved the honor of the devotee Prahlaad, when Harnaakhash tore him apart with his claws.

ਫੁਨਿ ਦ੍ਰੋਪਤੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਖੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਛੀਨਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਦੀਨ ਬਹੁ ਸਾਜ ॥
And the Dear Lord God saved the honor of Dropadi; when her clothes were stripped from her, she was blessed with even more.

ਸੋਦਾਮਾ ਅਪਦਾ ਤੇ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਗਨਿਕਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਤ ਪੂਰੇ ਤਿਹ ਕਾਜ ॥
Sudaamaa was saved from misfortune; and Ganikaa the prostitute - when she chanted Your Name, her affairs were perfectly resolved.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਹੋਇ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਦਾਸ ਭਾਟ ਕੀ ਲਾਜ ॥੮॥੧੨॥
O Great True Guru, if it pleases You, please save the honor of Your slave in this Dark Age of kali Yuga. ||8||12||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨੈ ਇਕੁ ਭਇਆ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ॥
For a king's daughter, a man disguised himself as Vishnu.

ਕਾਮਾਰਥੀ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਵਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
He did it for sexual exploitation, and for selfish motives, but the Lord protected his honor. ||1||

ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਕਹਾ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰਾ ਜਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
What is Your value, O Guru of the world, if You will not erase the karma of my past actions?

ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨ ਕਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਜੰਬੁਕੁ ਗ੍ਰਾਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Why seek safety from a lion, if one is to be eaten by a jackal? ||1||Pause||

ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਜਲ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
For the sake of a single rain-drop, the rainbird suffers in pain.

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਗਏ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
When its breath of life is gone, even an ocean is of no use to it. ||2||

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਜੁ ਥਾਕੇ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੈਸੇ ਬਿਰਮਾਵਉ ॥
Now, my life has grown weary, and I shall not last much longer; how can I be patient?

ਬੂਡਿ ਮੂਏ ਨਉਕਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਕਹੁ ਕਾਹਿ ਚਢਾਵਉ ॥੩॥
If I drown and die, and then a boat comes along, tell me, how shall I climb aboard? ||3||

ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਹਉ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਹਿ ਨ ਮੋਰਾ ॥
I am nothing, I have nothing, and nothing belongs to me.

ਅਉਸਰ ਲਜਾ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸਧਨਾ ਜਨੁ ਤੋਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
Now, protect my honor; Sadhana is Your humble servant. ||4||1||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ) ਕੰਮ ਰਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
The Lord God has arranged the marriage ceremony;

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੀਆਹਣਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਹੁਣ ਲਈ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ (ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ।
He has come to marry the Gurmukh.

ਵੀਆਹਣਿ ਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ । 
He has come to marry the Gurmukh, who has found the Lord. That bride is very dear to her Lord.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The humble Saints join together and sing the songs of joy; the Dear Lord Himself has adorned the soul-bride.

ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਮਿਲਿ ਆਏ ਅਪੂਰਬ ਜੰਞ ਬਣਾਈ ॥
(ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੇ ਜਾਂਞੀ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਦੈਵੀ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਇਕ ਅਦੁਤੀ ਜੰਞ ਬਣਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
The angels and mortal beings, the heavenly heralds and celestial singers, have come together and formed a wondrous wedding party.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੈ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ (ਸਤ ਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਜੰਞ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ, ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ।੪।੧।੩।
O Nanak, I have found my True Lord God, who never dies, and is not born. ||4||1||3||

Focusing on ‘Shastar’ (weapon) and ‘Shaastar’ (scripture), Guru Gobind Singh Ji instilled ‘Chardi Kala’ and ‘Bir Ras’ (warrior sprit) into the Sikhs by commencing the festival of ‘Dussehra’ in the Khalsa Panth. ਛੀਰ ਕੈਸੀ ਛੀਰਾਵਧਿ ਛਾਛ ਕੈਸੀ ਛਤ੍ਰਾਨੇਰ ਛਪਾਕਰ ਕੈਸੀ ਛਬਿ ਕਾਲਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਕੂਲ ਕੈ ॥
(ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ) ਛੀਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੁੱਧ ਵਰਗੀ, ਛਤ੍ਰਪੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਸੀ ਵਰਗੀ, ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਵਰਗੀ,
Awadh is like milk and the town of Chhatraner is like buttermilk; the banks of Yamuna are beautiful like the brilliance of the moon.

ਹੰਸਨੀ ਸੀ ਸੀਹਾ ਰੂਮ ਹੀਰਾ ਸੀ ਹੁਸੈਨਾਬਾਦ ਗੰਗਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਧਾਰ ਚਲੀ ਸਾਤ ਸਿੰਧ ਰੂਲ ਕੈ ॥
ਸੀਹਾ-ਰੂਮ (ਨਗਰੀ) ਵਿਚ ਹੰਸਨੀ ਜਿਹੀ, ਹੁਸੈਨਾਬਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਹੀਰੇ ਜਿਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੱਚ ਨੂੰ (ਲਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ) ਗੰਗਾ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ ਜਿਹੀ,
The country of rum is like the beautiful Hansani (damsel), the town of Husainabad is like a diamond; the winsome current of the Ganges make the seven seas diffident.

ਪਾਰਾ ਸੀ ਪਲਾਊਗਢ ਰੂਪਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਰਾਮਪੁਰ ਸੋਰਾ ਸੀ ਸੁਰੰਗਾਬਾਦ ਨੀਕੇ ਰਹੀ ਝੂਲ ਕੈ ॥
ਪਲਾਊਗੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਰੇ ਵਰਗੀ, ਰਾਮਪੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਦੀ ਜਿਹੀ, ਸਾਰੰਗਪੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੋਰੇ ਜਿਹੀ (ਸਫ਼ੈਦ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਰਹਾ ਵਿਆਪਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Palayugarh is like mercury and Rampur is like siver; Surangabad is like nitre (swinging elegantly).

ਚੰਦੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ, ਚਾਦਾਗੜ੍ਰਹ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਦਨੀ ਵਰਗੀ, ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਮਾਲਤੀ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਵਾਗ (ਹਰ ਥਾ ਪਸਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ) ॥੧੨॥੨੬੪॥
Kot Chanderi is like Champa flower (Michelia Champacca), Chandagarh is like moonlight, but Thy Glory, O Lord! is like the beautiful flower of Malti (a creeper). 12.264.;
