Not, and this marks its artistic profile, not additively, "side by side". Ullip combines these functions in order to let a new something emerge from them. CDs whose tracks do not preserve and reproduce "played music" as is usually the case. But CDs where the music is created by editing, mixing and recording it "on the fly". The CD as an audience, so to speak. With the great advantage that - in contrast to live sessions - one can enjoy the cuts of the CDs over and over again.
Based on a rich musical experience and an almost "wild" past, Ullip - together with other musicians - has today found a style that activates and inspires a special genre:

'Chained music'.

Sounds and pieces, music and rhythms that are played in a self-inspiring way or created on technical devices. Born in the moment, just like jazz. Also, not only as in jazz, given as a theme, otherwise improvised. Above all, they are not reproductions in the sense of notated notes. All the elements that stand between the first beat and sound of a live gig, a studio recording and the final burning process on a CD are interlinked to create what the "piece" recorded on silver discs ultimately is.

A self-taught composer, who has found his voice in older and traditional forms and styles of music.
Currently mostly composing for piano, but I have grand ambitions for writing chamber music and symphonies.
My music has a lot of variety in a way that expresses all kinds of sentiments, both intrapersonal and extrapersonal, kept in a cohesion by an underlying narrative; every composition is its own journey or a adventure, and I invite any guests who stumble upon my page to take part in it.

Uli Nicholas

With 23 years dedicated to the art of composition, Uli Nicholas (Ulisses Nicolau Alberto Barros) creates music that bridges the gap between classical tradition and modern technological innovation. His musical foundation was built at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), where he studied Classical Music for two years and was a student of Maestro Joca Costa for three. He further refined his piano technique under the guidance of pianists and professors Liana Monteiro and Leandro Rocha, the latter also being an accomplished composer.

A multi-instrumentalist who also masters the acoustic and electric guitar, Uli possesses a unique intellectual background, having studied Physics for three years at UFRN. This blend of logic and emotion defines his eclectic catalog, which spans genres and explores vast themes: from philosophy, history, and pure entertainment and social criticism to environmental preservation.

Today, Uli expands his creative horizons by combining his traditional workflow—composing via notation software—with the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence. His musical production is overseen by Rogério Vieira, a renowned producer in Brazil who mentors students internationally. At its core, Uli's work is driven by a desire to transmit messages of love and hope. His compositions often explore deep spiritual reflections, resonating with themes of faith and transcendent values that speak directly to the soul.

Rex Potam: A Journey Through Song and Symphony

With a voice seasoned by nearly four decades of singing, Rex Potam embarked on a new creative chapter in 2016. Though professional circumstances led him to step away from the choir, his passion for music found a fresh outlet in composition.

Rex is a self-taught singer-songwriter, drawn to crafting music that paints vivid sonic landscapes. His style seamlessly blends classic influences with an acoustic sensibility, evident both in his solo songwriting and collaborations with other artists.

But Rex's musical spectrum extends far beyond the realm of song. He delves into the world of classical composition, creating pieces that resonate with the richness and depth of the tradition. Whether composing for piano, tackling ambitious projects like concertos and symphonies, or even venturing into the sacred grandeur of a Requiem mass, his versatility shines through.

This dual identity – singer-songwriter and classical composer – defines Rex's artistic journey. He finds inspiration in the emotional intimacy of lyrics and the grand narratives of symphonic storytelling. His commitment to tonality ensures his music remains accessible and emotionally engaging, leaving a lasting impression on listeners.

Karl Kim is a man of many musical hats (perhaps too many for his own good, but that's a discussion for another time). 

​​His musical journey started off with piano lessons at age six, and from there he has picked up many other instruments over the years, including but not limited to: violin, guitar, trombone, and various percussion instruments. Karl was also just as quick to branch out to styles of music other than classical; most significant of these styles is rock and metal (especially of the progressive variety), but jazz, EDM, experimental music, and folk music from various parts of the world have also played a role in shaping him as a musician. 

As a concert music composer, these musical experiences, especially those as a metal guitarist, are what make up the voice that he projects into his compositions, especially in recent times. Pieces like "The Jury is Sleepless", "Without a Minute to Spare", and "So Cold, So Dark, So Chaotic" exist at a crossroads between music for the concert hall and music for the mosh pit. His music has been performed by ensembles such as the Rhythm Method, S.E.M., and Bearthoven, and he holds a B.M. in Music Theory and Composition from New York University. 

"Karl with a K" is an alter ego of Karl Kim. Karl with a K, while having the same musical background as Karl Kim, draws upon a fascination for rhythm game music that started with Dance Dance Revolution at the age of eight, and grew considerably to encompass games including, but not limited to, Sound Voltex, In the Groove, beatmania IIDX, Voez, and Arcaea. Karl with a K brings his background in metal and 20th century classical music into rhythm game original tracks such as "!CAUTION! small but deadly", "BELLUM", and "rudimentary methods of overkill", which can be characterized by plenty of guitars, unusual rhythms, and sometimes non-instruments being used as instruments. Much of his output as Karl with a K is written for the purposes of Stepmania simfile creation (though as of BMS of Fighters: EighTeen's "0verfl0w_err0r" this is no longer exclusively the case).

Karl Kim currently resides in Bloomington, Indiana where he is pursuing an M.M. in Music Scoring for Visual Media at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Karl with a K can be seen lurking around the internet (especially specific Discord servers), occasionally not being above a good meme from time to time. In addition, Karl with a K is working on his first project as a game developer, a typing meets rhythm gaming fusion titled "glyph;".
