I play around with guitar, bass and keyboards, been writing lyrics and making music with computers since Commodore 64 days.  My dream is that a "real" artist will like one of my songs and perform it for a wider audience, someday.

Northern Sky is a Detroit/London-based collaborative formed in 2021, crafting ethereal music that blends dreamy soundscapes with cinematic depth. Their music strikes a delicate balance between melody, emotion, and magic, influenced by timeless artists like Nick Drake and Norah Jones, as well as modern acts such as Beach House and The National.

At the heart of Northern Sky is Rose White, whose voice, like a soft breeze at twilight, guides the band’s sound with transcendent beauty. Supported by Eric Stajda, Dan Kendall, Steve Baker, and Andrea Di Fiore—who weave intricate layers of guitar, bass, drums, piano, synth, cello, and violin—the band creates soundscapes that are both fragile and infinite.

Northern Sky’s songs are vignettes, like postcards from distant places, carrying echoes of fleeting yet eternal memories. Tracks like "Paper Flowers," "Swimming in the Rain," and "Aurora" explore love, loss, and the bittersweet passage of time. Their music reflects the profound beauty found in life’s quietest moments, drawing inspiration from films that capture the magic in the everyday—Cinema Paradiso, Stolen Kisses, Sleepless Night in Paris, and Before Sunrise.

Welcome to #TapeLab—stay a while and listen. Founded in 2017 by lifelong friends, Tape Lab is a collective of artists and a hub for innovation, always open to collaboration. With the zeal of a self-published memoir, our sound is our own, but you can be the decider. We make music and art that sounds like it was fun to make and stands out in a sea of bland beats. 

As independent artists, we are always exploring new ways to expand our audience and find new creative outlets—especially with other undiscovered artists!

I am an elderly university professor of history who enjoys playing and composing: unpretentious, just for fun. As a consequence, the most of my recordings are handcrafted and largely imperfect.
Thank you in any case for stopping here to listen to something; in the description area you can find often explanatory notes or lyrics translations.

Here I found a real widespread community of great musicians and a lot of good music to listen to; you can be sure that any liking, commenting or reposting by me is a consequence of careful listening to the tracks. Obviously, for this very reason, I am not interested in collecting free ‘likes’ without real listening.

🎤About us: we are an eclectic band that blends elements of electronic dance, metal, pop, punk, rock, synth wave and more to create a unique and engaging sound. 
Our identities are top-secret, forgive us, we're a bunch of very shy aliens🛸 (4 males 💁🏻‍♂️🙎‍♂️🙋🏼‍♂️🦸🏼‍♂️ and 1 female🙅‍♀️, the guitarist/backup singer). Our earthly names (and nicknames) are Tom ("Lucifer" - lead vocals and occasional keyboards), Mary ("Vampira" or just "V" - guitarist and backing vocals), Mauro ("Maux" - keyboards, piano, synths and winds), Davide ("Quiet D" or just "D" - bass and synth bass), and Valerio ("Brad", drums and percussions). And you definitely DON'T want to know the origin of some of our nicknames!😅

We use SoundCloud as an archive for all our music, which we eventually release on all major streaming platforms (we just started on July 18, 2024). Here, you might find final and non-final versions of songs that we will release elsewhere in a day, a month, or even a year or more. In the description of each track, we will specify which version it is and if it has already been released. Come back and visit this page regularly, as you can expect an increasing number of songs over time (as long as we don't hit any creativity slumps!).
