Our latest Drumpak, an expanded edition with more samples, is an essential collection of more than 350 inspirational sounds. As you’d expect, the standard is high and the vibes are strong - his UK Garage keys and vocals have been used in top 40 records by Rudimental, KSI & Anne-Marie, Kurupt FM, Mike Skinner (The Streets), and Diffrent’s Ministry of Sound anthem ‘A Little Closer’ as well as numerous underground hits. We’ve included a curated folder of first-class songstarters, bass, melodics, fx and vocal loops, pus the relevant midi files where available. Everything you hear in the demo is included.

Each of the drum loops feature Scott’s trademark swing, crisp production, and detailed drum programming, showcasing his talent for crafting exemplary grooves. Each of the 20 loops has been broken out into individual stems for complete flexibility. What initially began as a series of Sunday morning after-parties at various venues including The Gass Club, Elephant & Castle and The Arches, the 'Sunday Scene' kickstarted and pioneered one of London's most culturally important music scenes. Although to begin with the DJ's were spinning (almost exclusively) US house tracks and dubs by the likes of Masters at Work & MK, they played these records at a much faster tempo, creating the essential energy and flow needed to re-invigorate ravers who'd already (mostly) been dancing all night across the road at the Ministry of Sound.

In future collections to complement this one, we'll be exploring the more musical, gospel-influenced American house at the heart of the US - UK connection, as well as the seminal sounds of prominent labels like Nice N Ripe, but this edition focuses on the ruffer cut-up riddims and bumpy, soundsystem-influenced basslines that gave this era it's distinct 'London attitude' and unmistakable vibe.

In total, you'll find more than 300 sounds, comprising pinpoint drum grooves, vibe-heavy organs, resampled rompler keys, and weighty sub-basses created using the hardware used the time. There's a choice helping of crunchy analogue claps, kicks and percussion, plus a whole folder of tops and percussion loops; all imbued with just the right amount of 12-bit dirt and swing. Don't expect super-clean and pristine audio here - hiss and noise is a welcome part of the process when recreating the workflows of the mid-90s, and the analogue grit comes courtesy of various in-house hardware which includes an Akai S3000, Roland SP-404A and our trusty MPC.

In the mid 2000s, a fresh take on the UKG sound began to be heard - Future Garage. It's a genre that's gotten broader in scope over the last decade as boundary-breaking producers and artists have skilfully weaved in more and more influences. It's a sound that borrows heavily from the darker side of 2-Step and the sonic developments of dubstep. Future Garage eschewed dubstep's wobble-bass obsession and instead drew inspiration from Detroit techno, dub and other electronic genres, taking things away from the club environment and often pursuing a more introverted, mournful aesthetic. Much like its predecessor UKG, which borrowed from RnB, jungle, and dancehall and the original US garage sound, Future Garage now encompasses all of those elements plus many more - ambient, cinematic and lo-fi, to mention just a few.

In our newest offering, we explored this incredible soundworld, utilising advanced sound design techniques such as granular synthesis, resynthesis, resampling, and field recording, culminating in a collection of more than 400 fresh sounds and midi. There's a full spectrum of snappy, swung, and shuffled drum loops which can be mixed and matched along with the percussion loops to create new variations. The bass loops feature plenty of speaker-shaking goodness in the form of the genre's quintessential reese subs and dark garage growlers, plus there's a choice helping of key-labelled oneshots to load quickly into your sampler of choice. 

In the melodics folder, you'll find more than 55 loops spanning brooding keys, dark UKG melodics, rave-style chord stabs, evolving ambient textures, and sinister atmospherics. We flipped and re-processed many of these sounds, layering them with foley or running them through the Roland SP-404 or Chase Bliss MOOD pedal. We've also reworked our own recorded textures and utilised our comprehensive library of found sounds and foley captured in London, Amsterdam, Philadelphia, Brussels, Barcelona and Johannesburg to create almost 60 all-new texture, foley and fx loops and oneshots. Everything from autumn leaves, coffee shops, and the sounds of city life, right through to haunting videogame style cues and analogue processed noise and crackle feature here, giving you all you need to create an instant mood.

To complete the collection, there's a choice helping of vocals and a prime selection of more than 100 genre-specific, custom-created drum hits for easy beat-making. We've built these from the ground up, layering and infusing the sources with foley from nature, household items and authentic vinyl crackle via various resampling sessions.
