Josh Cooper, known by his recording alias Nite Mrkt, is an ambient/electronic music producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Nite Mrkt evokes a range of emotions in this 3-track EP, creating soundscapes that conjure feelings of bliss, loneliness, and redemption. Some tracks are danceable, while others are meant for reflection. Nite Mrkt composed/produced this EP via the Ableton Live DAW with his Akai Controller on his self-built computer. It was mastered by Paul Gold of Salt Mastering in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Nite Mrkt’s biggest influences are Tycho, Jamie XX, Boards of Canada, and Aphex Twin. The EP will be available on popular streaming services (Apple Music, Spotify, etc.) on November 17, 2017.

Nite Mrkt evokes a range of emotions in his upcoming 3-track EP, and attempts to create soundscapes that conjure feelings of bliss, loneliness, rejection, and redemption. Some tracks are danceable, while some are meant for reflection. This is the first track, and it is danceable.

This track attempts to emulate what it's like to be standing on a beach at night as a thunderstorm passes in the distance.

The final track from the self-titled EP. This one is sure to be a club favorite.

This is my most clubbing house tune to date. It builds up wonderfully in the style of Jamie XX, while maintaining a lovely dance beat that crescendos and stops in all the right places. The melody is peaceful yet exciting, blissful yet haunting. It will make you want to move. It most definitely will get stuck in your head.

I named this track after my girlfriend's grandfather who recently passed. I wanted to make something fun and exciting that he would be proud of. The main theme of the song is to live in the moment, enjoy life while you can, and to ensure you don't leave anything unchecked on your bucket list, just like Freddy. The final note is drawn out similar to how a heart monitor does when one finally goes. It's morbidly peaceful. 

This is the first single I'll be releasing off of my upcoming album, "They've Been Here Before", which is a fusion of ambient and house music. It has a unique sound and can be played as background music (in true ambient fashion) or listened to for its subtleties, soundscapes, and catchy melodies. This single contains no samples, and is 100% organically and originally composed.  The single will be released on all major streaming services on May 4.

This is Nite Mrkt's first track from his upcoming album "They've Been Here Before". It has a dark ambient vibe with a hard-hitting drum beat; the track lies somewhere between inspiring beauty and hypnotic anxiety. It sounds a bit like a collaboration between Aphex Twin and The Postal Service, and while it is completely instrumental, it invokes a wide array of emotions. With a minor melody, field samples, and otherworldly sounds that fall like winter snow in the night over a solid drum beat, 'Courier' will deliver you to another time and space. 

Nite Mrkt's upcoming album, "They've Been Here Before", is a fusion of ambient and house music.
