On Nov 10, 2016 6:20 am the moon was 221,524 mi from the earth.  It was at full perigee and so very bright.   A blue moon occured May 21st of the same year.  That is to say that not only was the moon the brightest and closest but also the moon in the photograph was the second full moon (blue moon)occurring in the same month.  In January and March of 2018 there will be a double blue moon occurrence.  The last one was in 1999 and after 2018 it will be 2037 before the next double blue moon occurs.  Unfortunately I won't be alive to see it.  My nine lives will have come to an end.
