Nova Scotia’s Nap Eyes is the greatest band you’ve never heard, and Whine of the Mystic is their first full-length album, a brilliant small-batch brew of crooked, literate guitar pop refracted through the gray Halifax rain. Recorded live to tape with no overdubs, it’s equal parts shambling and sophisticated, with one eye on the dirt and one trained on the starry firmament, inhabiting a skewed world where odes to NASA and the Earth’s magnetic field coexist easily with songs about insomnia and drinking too much.

Canto de aves multicolores que se alejan al caer el sol

Orion se asoma ya en el horizonte
Mientras me llega tu recuerdo distante

Bailamos sin decirnos nada
Fundidos uno al otro en nuestras pupilas
Sintiendo el palpitar de la luz de nuestras almas
Con destellos de caleidoscópio

La música brotaba de los arcoiris
La luna, las estrellas y los planetas
Iluminaban nuestra danza secreta
Iluminaron este, nuestro eterno reencuentro

Churun Merú, Aponwao y Kukenan
Guían el viaje de una noble y olvidada casta primigenia de las tierras del sur
que va cruzando la estela del río en canoas de cristal
Adentrandose en la selva al encuentro de un shaman

Singing of multicolored birds that go away at sunset

Orion is already looming on the horizon
While I get your distant memory

We dance without saying anything
Melted to each other in our pupils
Feeling the pulse of the light of our souls
With kaleidoscope flashes

The music flowed from the rainbows
The moon, stars and planets
Illuminated our secret dance
Lit this, our eternal reunion

Churun Meru, Aponwao and Kukenan
Guiding the journey of a noble and forgotten primitive caste of the southern lands
going across the river stele in cristal canoes
Penetrating in the jungle to a shaman's meeting.

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
I feel slightly embarrassed and quite humbled when I receive such graceful messages of thanks from artists whose work I have re-posted - after-all, I am the one who is so inspired by the discovery of your brilliant music!!!
