The band was started on the campus of Purdue University by Nitish, Jake and Bj in the spring of 2010. 
The band released it's first EP called "My Friend Radio - EP" on April 1st, 2011. In the summer of 2011, the band members got together and started working on their first full-length EP. 

Jake Ohlemiller left the band in the August to pursue graduate studies. Tory Kirgiss, who also plays drums in West Lafayette based band YEARS, came in to help write the album and is now also the drummer for Oliver.
