Chase

All vinyl lovers will know the constant battle with the age-old enemy: The Post Office. Slips not left. Surly staff. No ID. “It’s a record, yeah like an old record like black thing. Yeah , them lads.” This war of attrition takes on a new mantle when faced with Correos, Spain’s postal service that would give the Soviet Union a run for its money when it comes to queues.

Robbie found himself sleuthing from one post office to another to track down some of the audio treats that are on offer for this month’s WE FORFEIT. Beautiful warm electronics come care of Ireland’s Derek Carr before we dip into the colder machinations of Morphology. Digging into the past, Arne Weinberg and John Shima give a taster of the wonderful diametric. before more new arrivals care of 030303. Cold Blow and Suction.

Although Spain’s postal service may have issues, the electronic music talent of Iberia has none. Moy’s new 12” on the Masa Series is superb with Promising/Youngster following with a mixlet of No Moon and Cultivated Electronics.

Chris has been on duty in Valencia with his recent translation work for Alessandro Adriani when Mannequin’s boss played in Killing Time. (FULL INTERVIEW https://www.instagram.com/tv/CjbGtl2jk1G/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) Mannequin is well represented with some jewels from its back catalogue, Dust being a real favourite. As ever, we’ve searched high and low for techno with Chris unearthing Transmigration alongside some classics form Djax-Up-Beats. No content with one Alessandro, Chris was also translating for Alessandro Parisi at a recent Frigio Showcase in Valencia, the Italian sound sculptor represented with two tracks.

And we’re all down to Valencia this weekend for a night of Cignol, can’t wait, and he ends this month’s instalment. ¡Enjoi!

Radio Relativa #31

Enjoy the recording of our ambient music performance, recorded at the historic Wasserturm in Berlin on 27th November 2022. This unique event took place inside the city's oldest water tower, built in 1877 and used until 1952. It offered a special opportunity to experience peace and tranquility through our soothing ambient tracks. The Wasserturm, with its rich history, now hosts various art projects and served as a perfect venue for our performance. The building's acoustics, with an 18-second reverb in the main tank and four to five seconds in the smaller tank, enhanced the immersive atmosphere and inspired our project.

As you listen, let the peaceful melodies and tranquil soundscapes wash over you, finding solace in the dreamy sounds. The performance features mostly unpublished tracks of ours, so be sure to follow us for updates. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy and look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
