Nixes - "Seraphim's Underground Shelter" Promo Mix Feb 2012

Born in Riyadh (KSA) in 1985, Nick “Nixes” Chalhoub first found his passion for music by listening to major influential genres throughout his childhood. Living in different gulf countries like KSA and Kuwait during his teenage got him mainly exposed to Rock and Hip Hop.  
He didn’t discover his passion for EDM until he moved to Lebanon in 2003 where he got introduced to unfamiliar grooves and rhythms. House music became his obsession in all its subgenres from deep house, techno, minimal, tech house and progressive house to dubstep, drum & bass and break beats. It was a matter of weeks before he got his own mini studio and started working on his mixing skills. People started listening to his sets and soon enough his fan base started growing by word of mouth. Nixes never found the opportunity to take his talent to a professional level, his Engineering studies kept him away from the music scene on a national scale. He managed to keep some time for his regular sessions to satisfy his listeners, which got him several guest appearances in a number of hot spots in the Lebanese clubbing scene. After graduating in 2008, Nixes went back to work in Kuwait which made him switch his attention to EDM production learning since the clubbing scene was not available.
Nixes’ love for his own style of music makes his tracks selection quite exceptional. The sound he delivers through his blending performance is uplifting while keeping a heavy bassline for the dancing crowd. His music is, as he puts it, "Heavy Techno bass mixed with a Progressive lift and a Tech groove".
