"Lhob 'Aam Bifattesh 'Aaleyk" from album "Antazirouka"

Nizar Fares, is a husband, a father, an ongoing learner, and he likes to be called a “Musicianary” -a musician on mission! Since year 2000, he became Known as a recording artist among Middle Eastern communities, specialized in early and modern Christian Music repertoires (Syriac, Assyrian, Chaldean, Arabic), with some 18 albums for kids, youth and adults. As a PhD in music, he’s invited globally to sing and lecture on Middle Eastern music (www.nizarfares.com).

In January 2016, Nizar became an adjunct professor and director of “ASTAZA” the Middle East Ensemble at Boston College. He runs DooZhen Music Academy -a music school based in Boston, USA, where he keeps teaching his overseas students through online tutoring program. Along with more onsite weekly talents, with specialized musicians eager to teach, tutor, coach, they help define future artists (www.DooZhen.com).

Though it seems quite a busy life, it wasn't enough for him to just sing and teach, because it was never about success itself, or about a talent to show, but more about how to do common good with the talents we have, and to make a difference in people's lives; Therefore, after many years of serving in the field, furthermore with the refugees crisis; He launched in 2017 his own non-profit organization; Nizar Fares Global Ministry, serving Refugees in the Middle East and those scattered in the five continents. The vision is to serve people through the music that has a true therapeutic effect. One of the programs created is the “Overseas Sponsoring Program for Talented Displaced Children and Youth”, among other projects, mission trips, and relief work (www.NFGM.org).

“…You cannot hear our son Nizar without being engaged mentally, spiritually and emotionally with what he’s singing…” said once Wadih El Safi (1921-2013), one of the most prominent Arab Singers, who also composed several songs for Nizar, his very last composition was released early 2019.
