on a pale horse the vagabond
knows the embalmed are waiting to bloom.

i find she speaks the very same as you
when she purrs in a sapphire drawl
"baby, let my empire fall."

full disclosure, geminis,
i won't fall asleep until i see you unwind.

beyond the boughs, looking on,
is the consecrated cure
who opens her vacuum palms.
eyes of emerald, I'm drawn to her.

she loves my mind, she loves my mind,
yeah, she loves my venetian mind.
i kinda think she's calling me blind.

Harbinger Hop

i wish i had a voice like the morning sunshine,
i would sing to you every night.
you would be taller than an emerald babylon
a city of the vine.

you would curl to the sky,
whose sapphire serenade you'd abide.

i can see how you lately feel nocturnal
i, too, am skeletal.
vertebrae like a detuned piano
twisting at my spine.

i, too, curl to the right
and fight to stand up alright.

lately i've been climbing streetlights
just to hear the roaring 20s
they are eloquent, truly,
but never that clock-wise

they do curl like a wreath,
which they feast upon in want of a niche.

i'm an acolyte,
so I stop 'em and ask for the time.
all these lies in the light
you easily defy.

wilt no more, i wish i was water.
do as thou wilt through the hellfire.
tell me "yes" in some such language,
say you might survive,

and uncurl at your knees.
let your leaves disappear in the breeze.

you may not be precise,
but you need not be denied.
there are lines in the light
easily untied.
