"Circles in the Grass" is the first of two cues written to accompany scenes from an already existing children’s movie called “Svein og Rotta - UFO-mysteriet”. These are the sampled mock-up versions I made as a preparation for a recording session. The original film score was composed by Stein Berge Svendsen, who also acted as a supervisor during the recording session we did with a ten piece ensemble, consisting of a string quintet and a wind quintet.

"Ingunn's Room" is a cue I have written to accompany a scene from an already existing horror movie called “Fritt vilt” / “Cold Prey”. This is the sampled mock-up version I made as a preparation for a recording session. The original film score was composed by Magnus Beite, who also acted as a supervisor during the recording session we did with KORK, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra.

Nils Johan Ødegaard is a Norwegian composer of music for film, tv, media, games as well as the concert stage. 

He studied classical composition and composition for films and games with composer Bjørn Sverre Kristensen between 2009 and 2012, and then film music composition at the University of Lillehammer in 2012/2013, under the direction of professor and composer Halldor Krogh.

Ødegaard is also a guitarist with a Bachelor degree in music teaching and studies in drama and Norwegian film history.

He has composed music for a handful of documentaries, a computer game, and various pieces for chamber ensembles and orchestra. Currently he is writing music for an upcoming documentary movie.

Credits includes the documentaries "En rose under snøen" (2014), “Another Reality” (2013 - opening sequence), “Jenta fra Iran” (2012), “The Rise” (2012 - a documentary about the rock band Casa Murilo), and “Project Viking” (2012 - game music).
