When my father who lives in heaven

Her Glove

I was sitting in the coffee shop
 Waiting for the rain to stop
Lost in my own little train of thought
When I saw a woman drop her glove.
I picked it up from off the floor
But she hurried through the corridor
I stood there for an hour or more
Hoping she came looking for her glove.

For the first time in my life
I feel like I’m in love
She and I would make a perfect pair

Fixes her hair, puts on a pleated skirt
Drives a low riding sedan all week
Come Friday night she’s a mud bogg’n freak
Off the job she’s a different girl
In cowboy boots and baggy Tee shirt
When I turn on my extreme machine
My woman puts on her dirtiest jeans.

She wants to play dirty with me.
In the bounty hole it’s five feet deep.
It could be stubbornness or stupidity
But she wants to play dirty…..

She gets her clothes full of soft ground mud
It makes her happy when I give her a hug

Grabs her seat belt and wishes me luck

Was all she wore where she laid
On a blanket bathing in the warm sun.
Two blue (pink)plastic glasses
Beside a bottle of water
In a bucket of ice with a note on the lawn.

The dinner was made
And a romantic song played
While laundry was drying on the clothes line.
I knew after reading
My tears would fill up a river
As a life full of memories rush to my mind.

Well, A flash flood started flowing.
It hit me by surprize.
Yea a flash flood started pouring.
Spilling from my eyes.
And this flash flood keeps on rising.
