Born in Barranquilla, Colombia on April 28, 1982 by the name of Nestor Colina also known as DJ Next Level has always managed to keep it one level above all, in the music and entertainment industry. Learning, eating and breathing his musical influences from his home country in his younger years; Salsa, Cumbia, Vallenato, Bachata, Rock, Hip Hop and Reggae … These diverse genres crystallized his dedication to rock any party. DJ Next Level continues to saturate himself in new and upcoming music every day of his life.
Commencing his career and long adventure in 1996, Dj Next Level got his first gig at Club Temptation in his home town. At the age of fourteen he was already making his name known through out Colombia. Shutting it down, at a capacity of 800 people was a successful challenge for him. That’s when he realized that DJ Next Level had to abroad his horizons.
Convincing his parents to realize his dream as a DJ, They moved to the “Big Apple” New York City in 1998. Establishing his name in hosting “House Parties” and renting halls for “Private Parties” created his strongest influence; exposure to the wide range of genres. Dj Next Level got his first contract at the age of seventeen as a resident Dj in Club Rendezvous in New York, NY.
He has performed in hundreds of clubs all over United States from New York to Miami. Traveling back in forth from Colombia still to this day. Club Temptation in Colombia, Club Rendezvous in NewYork. Club Bliss and Club Atlantic in Florida, Club Taboo, Roxy and Libra in Boston, Club Centro in Lawrence, MAand many more. If you have heard him spin live, than you definitely know DJ Next Level.
