What would the "Force Theme" have sounded like if it was written in the eighteenth century? This is my imaginative reconstruction.

"Force Theme" Ritornello

An aria long attributed to Bach, but actually by Gottfried Heinrich Stolzel's opera, Diomedes.

This track presents Solzel's original setting, to facilitate comparison's with Bach's.  I present it first with just the soprano and bass (since Bach's transcription is only those voices), which is followed by Stolzel's full orchestration.

I suspect that this manuscript contains some mistakes, but I have tried to reproduce it as best as I can.
