Concept:

The song is about a guy who notices a stunningly beautiful woman in a cafe/bar. She’s alone in the corner reading a book. The room disappears around her. Rather than going up to her, he keeps his distance. He doesn’t want to ruin the moment as it’s occurring before him. As badly as he truly wants to meet her, he never approaches. He feels unworthy of her beauty.

The verses represent reality and the chorus fantasy. The song is inherently sexual and has a beautiful movement to it. I wanted to create a visual element that was as strongly suggestive as the lyrics/melody are (available on YouTube). Sour Love describes this feeling of lost love. Yet, at the same time, he can accept it. The bitterness doesn’t overtake him because he has a strong respect for beauty and has control of his desires.

Lo Lytes continues to wander through a desolate parallel universe, guided by neon lights that dictate the present and spark reflection on the past. “Wet” is a look back on the friction Lo Lytes once felt with the illusive her, now a distant memory that he can only conjure up through music bubbling with sensuality to replicate what once was. He’s utterly alone, but “Wet” instills a sense of passion and life within a world of isolation, soundtracking his journey as he follows the Lo Lyte.
