This piece is based on the story "The Trinity"(Tokyo, Japan. Late September, 2005) of the legendary musician Roger Bobo.
When I read this story on Roger's page on his blog(http://wwwtemp.rogerbobo.com/narratives/index.shtml), I immediately heard the music and I wanted to turn the story written on a piece of paper into a musical story, in which Roger's memories, the sounds of a tuba, and a piano would be intertwined.
At this time, the covid-19 pandemic began… It was very difficult for us to organize the process of the recording. Roger had to record at home, I am very grateful for his efforts, I know it was not easy for him to do.
Having written the music, I decided to turn to two wonderful Israeli musicians - Principal tuba player of The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion - Avital Handler, who was a student of the maestro and a wonderful, talented pianist Anna Kavalerova. It was not easy, because our work was stopped by two lockdowns. Sometimes it seemed to me that we were not destined to finish the recording.
The day Roger sent me the last recorded part of the story, I rushed to the sound engineer Yaron Aldema to finish the mix of the project. In October 2021 Roger Bobo started a tour of America and Europe and the release of the musical version of “The Trinity” was to take place after his return.
But something went wrong and the tour had to be interrupted. I hope Maestro will recover soon and be able to continue touring, but for now, I would like to ask you to support him.

I composed the first version of this Piano Sonata – In Search of Lost Meaning - in 1977, when he was still in Romania. In 2021 I found the manuscript, improved it and added the last movement. The work is a reflection on the relentless search for meaning, as perspectives change over long periods of time.
Hagai Yodan is an Israeli multidisciplinary artist: pianist, conductor, composer and writer. He recorded this Piano Sonata in February 2022 in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Critically acclaimed composer Anna Segal belongs to a new generation of classical composers: An unusual, versatile composer in various disciplines – Symphonic and Chamber music, solo concertos, Lieder with Orchestra, Choir works and even Chansons. Her compositions were already performed in many countries.

Born in Ukraine, she began studying piano and composition at the age of 5. After graduating from music school and college with degrees in piano and musicology, she later studied composition at The Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. After immigrating to Israel, she studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and graduated in Composition (M.A.) under Prof. Ami Maayani.

Anna Segal is a member of ACUM and The Israel Composers' League (ICL). She is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship.

Her works are regularly performed by many orchestras, ensembles and soloists: Berliner Symphoniker (conducted by Maestro Lior Shambadal at The Berlin Philharmonic), London Mozart Players Orchestra, Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra, Lone Stare Wind Orchestra(cond. In 2019 and 2020 maestro Roger Bobo invited Anna Segal to compose 2 tuba concertos for the famous tuba player Velvet Brown. The concerts were commissioned by the International Conference of Women Brass Players and were successfully performed at the universities of Iowa, Penn State, Arizona and Dallas.

Other highlights include her chamber piece "Overtones of the Night" – that won the first prize, and was performed at the Modern Music Festival in Korea and in 2009, "Cabaret Macbeth" (Dir. Dani Ehrlich) – that was performed as part of the Experimental Art festival in Tel-Aviv and at Felicja Blumental Music Center (2011), music for the award-winning movie "Night Shift", music for the Cantango Berlin Ensemble, a series of especially-developed Family Concerts that were performed in many countries etc.
