Tokiboun in Dub is a French-Swiss producer. Reggae fan since he was 13 years old, he started to compose in 2008. His music is generally steppa and experimental in the way of composing, with multiple influences. With participation in over 200 events travelling across Switzerland and sometimes crossing the borders of his country, sharing the stage with artists like Kimmy Gold, Cultural Warriors, Tetra Hydro K, Asher Selector, Koma Dub and an alternance of chill and electro tinted concerts, his music is definitely shaped for sound systems.

Having one album to his credit on the French label Marée Bass and being featured in compilations on diverse European labels, he continues with his first EP entitled Mountain Vibrations: a four track EP - 2 tracks + 2 versions Flute & Trombone!

Authentic character with an unshakable joy of living and desire to share his music, Tokiboun In Dub invites us to join his musical universe. A discovery made of magic!

Fierce proponent of sound system music for more than two decades, the veteran is at it again in full force. A journey through his musical universe - embedded within the varied sonic nature
of Dub, strictly rigged for the dance floor. 
Procuring an immense sense of space, ‘Path of Stars’ leaves listeners mingling with interstellar harmonica melodies on a firm foundation of low frequency movement, striking just the right chord skanks. Roots vocalist Murray Man spearheads ‘From Creation’ on a militant groove, topped off by eerie theremin fragments and crystal-clear harmonies. ‘Ascension’ profoundly turns up the heat as radical chord stabs intersperse with its zealous bass line - a no holds barred conquest. Hurled into a spiritual heavyweight meditation, flute arpeggios lead the way towards ‘Ancestors’ in a rootikal Stepper’s fashion. ‘Galactica’ ramps up the energy as its rocket-like trajectory sends you off into its high-energy sub combustion, making way for the next, subsequent sound system belter. ‘Marching Dub’ takes hold of every last fibre of your body, as its ample effectuation takes care of the rest. Returning for one more, Murray Man chants lyrical wisdom in ‘Nough A Dem Afraid Away’ - conscious lyrics on a sublime, instrumental foundation. Resonant filter sweeps introduce the royal march of ‘Knights of Dub’ - high-velocity movements in action as the assertive soundscape roams free and unrestrained, assuredly causing havoc in the dance. Thoroughly stirring the foundation one last time ‘Back Inna De Yard’ takes off the gloves to hurl listeners into a militant Dub vortex, augmented by female vocal fragments and a ridiculously forceful low-end.

Après leur première release, Underground Dubwise sortie en mai 2011, Mahom est de retour avec Dub by Sub, accessible en libre téléchargement chez Original Dub Gathering. Cet opus, résolument stepper, navigue entre dub français et dub UK. Fidèle à ses convictions, il invite à un voyage musical avec pour destination la protection de l’environnement !

Le travail de Mahom est riche des rencontres faites sur la route et quatre des neuf morceaux de la release sont donc naturellement des featurings.

Enrichie d’un mélodica, leur riddim Faso Feu qui fait le tour des soundsystems (Bamba - Daba Makourejah), est remixé dans une version « maison »: FasoDub !

Sur Lettre à la Planète, interlude directement inspirée et adressée à notre Mère Nature, Fedayi Pacha et son duduk donnent au riddim une dimension mystique.

Cyril (Tetra Hydro K) avec lequel ils ont partagé un bout de chemin lors du festival Subsonic en Roumanie, s’est laissé aller avec son mélodica inspiré sur le méditatif Rêve du chat.

Enfin, Mayd Hubb nous fait le plaisir de s’approprier le titre Tu me fais dubber la tête pour un remix explosif !

Cinq escales riches en surprises complètent l’album. Vous plongerez dans l’ambiance sombre de Fukushima. Tu me fais dubber la tête vous entraînera dans une trance enivrante. Another day vous tiendra en haleine tandis que Résistances vous entrainera dans une lutte infernale. Enfin, vous découvrirez la vision de Mahom du « warrior » stepper dans Woodpecker.

Nnawa est une chanteuse à la voix soul et au flow hip-hop assumé. Elle reflète son parcours à travers une musique groovy et solaire pour sublimer ses ressentis avec sincérité et spontanéité. 
Affectée par l'expérience marquante du mutisme et une opération des cordes vocales, elle conçoit une parole qui cherche du sens. Chaque mot, chaque intonation se veut affirmation de son existence en rejet du silence qui lui a été imposé. 
Entourés des deux beatmakers multi-instrumentistes Adrien Fagot (Ob.dub) et Baptiste Chambrion (Dubanko et l’Animalerie), l’alchimie est réelle, le combat est engagé. Leurs compositions alternent entre les extrêmes : elles sont parfois de bienveillantes recommandations ou bien encore, le constat d’une humanité douloureuse. Dans un cas ou dans l’autre, l’intention se veut toujours libératrice.
