Praised as “the master of creating surrealist imagination,” Hsiao-Mei Ho is the highly attention-attracting Taiwanese female choreographer, and her works are imbued with rich imagery and humanistic reflection. 

New Paradise of Silent Island is a collective creation with the spirit of Taiwanese cosplay. It drew together the Eight Generals, betel nut beauties, glove puppets, the Barbie doll, and other highly identifiable cultural symbols in contemporary Taiwan society. Blurring the boundary between reality and creation, the choreographer resonates with the audience deeply in a frame-breaking and interactive way, inviting them to wander around the stage under a diverse and chaos atmosphere of Taiwanese temple fairs.

超現實視覺潮佼佼者，臺灣編舞家何曉玫，自歷年累積的作品意象裡，重新調配出一台充滿台式扮裝(cosplay)精神的集錦式製作《默島新樂園》。匯集了從家將神祇、檳榔西施、布袋人偶到芭比娃娃等各種辨識度極高的臺灣特殊文化符號，創造一幕幕台洋雜處的金光浮世繪，將在地的廟會氣息帶入劇場，並藉由芭比娃娃式的人偶美學，隱喻俗艷與寂寞並陳的現代社會。

經典再製的《默島新樂園》系列，融合辨識度極高的臺灣文化符號，以劇場舞蹈方式呈現，重新詮釋出傳統文化的當代實驗性。編舞家對於社會性別的觀察，挑戰在舞作中不停反轉觀看與被觀看者的角色立場，以巧妙的超現實表現手法，無比誠懇地演繹時代流轉之下的改換世間。模糊了實寫與創作的邊界，由打破框架的表演方式拉引出深刻的共鳴。

Some had said that this land would change over the ages, however as she watched the red sun die in the distance for yet another night she noticed very little in terms of revolution. Stripes on a tiger don't wash away, much in the same way as the trees don't fall unless chopped. The wild creatures still roamed from town to town with perilous freedom, perhaps they were the last of us which were truly free. Whatever that meant anyway... She climbed into bed and closed her eyes, soon this would all be over. 

Ever the evolutionary, UK electronic music owes more than it perhaps knows to the forward thinking aspirations of Sully. As a producer he has ridden beneath the current, making music true to himself rather than hype or style. As a result he is fiercely supported by many who feel more credit should be due. Those who are aware of dgoHn will by now be familiar with his sound and those who aren’t should be. Back with his third single on Love Love, the drum maestro makes skin prickle once again with two shining original tracks laced with impeccable moments. Only dgoHn can create the kind of drum and bass that sounds like the tightest of ensembles playing meticulously rehearsed arrangements, painting intricate shapes with the percussion. 
 
The title track takes a fresh look at the amen break, finding ways to breathe new life into it. Soaring above the clouds on thick warm pads the drums thunder with a blissful rage, propelled forwards by a rumbling bassline. On the B-side ‘Dooky’ serves up a dgoHn masterclass in spatial control that could well be a future-classic of his. A formidable groove with serious punch, hi-hats skip along as the delicate balance of frequencies gives the listener just enough headspace not to get lost in the deep, dark world it creates. A subtle demonstration of tension and release, this single floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee whilst dripping with funk.
 
Lastly, Rognvald switches up the title track with a jam that triples the edits and doubles the bass, tipping the scales from the side of restraint to that of chaos without losing the feel of the original. Artwork once again provided by Colin ‘Snublic’ McCallister.
