“Flower an’ the Bottle” by Austic Zone is a raw Scottish folk protest song written by Derek Gault calling out the hypocrisy in UK drug and alcohol laws. In pubs, whisky flows, adverts blaze, and violence fills the streets — yet cannabis, a plant that heals, brings boots, cuffs, and propaganda. 

The song asks why one substance is celebrated while the other is criminalised. It points to profit, not health, as the true reason for this two-tier system. With the sound of kilt, fiddle, and acoustic fire, it’s a defiant anthem for fairness, harm reduction, and truth.
