Darling Angel started out as an throwback doo wop song with lo-fi instruments and mastering to match the music of the 40's.  After further thought though, based on the success of the juxtaposition achieved in some of his other works, No Good decided to move the song into a modern format and call it "Contemporary Doo-Wop".

The song is set to be bass heavy on purpose to give the feeling of a mix of reggae and 808's and heartbreak.  On top of that there is a very punchy kick to help move the song a long and add some edge to the rhythm.  The synthesizers are meant to be very sweet and candy like and take the place of the piano and guitar heard in traditional doo wop era songs that are not purely acapalla.  The harmonies of the group are added through a vocoder to keep the song more modern sounding and the sound effects are meant to reminisce of an old soda shoppe.

The track, Darling Angel, is named after the female half of the love story that it tells about a young couple in college.
