My First Country Dance Mix

A cheeky ode to unconventional comfort, "My Couch" blends humor and satire in a playful country track. Told You So

This track is for anyone who feels the weight of the world pressing down but still screams back.  Think Nine Inch Nails intensity meets Five Finger Death Punch aggression.  

It all started because one line got stuck in my head on repeat:  
“Why is everything so daunting… ever think so… everything’s so…”  
I couldn’t let it go — so I did something about it.  

The song is the battle in my mind — with and without ADD meds. Without them, even simple tasks feel overwhelming. With them, I catch myself wondering: is this what life feels like for “normal” people?  

That tension takes a toll, but ADD is also my superpower. It isn’t all of me, but it’s part of me — and owning that became the writing process for this track.  


Daunting

I grew up with country all around me, grunge blasting in my ears, and my dad’s vinyl spinning Hendrix, Zeppelin, and The Doors. I write songs about two things: the world’s contradictions and my own. From politics to ADD, it all filters into words and stories that turn struggle into something real.
