This is my first song to write and release. I wrote this to express my appreciation for my blood relatives and my faith family. I couldn't make it through this life without them. S/O to my home church, Pioneer Bible Church!

We all tend to sin even after we are redeemed by Christ's blood. I find myself asking the Lord over and over to take control of my life and actually be Lord. I've realized He's been doing His job the whole time, and I'm the one who is slacking (how is that not obvious). It isn't His job to take away my trials, but it's my job to respond to them in a way that glorifies God. I was introduced to a new perspective recently... we are to live in gratitude of what Christ did for us by keeping our way pure. In the end, we know we are victorious through Christ.

This is my first recorded song on guitar and cajon. I do not play any other instruments heard, although I was able to use the other instruments well enough to my advantage.  Written on a Saturday afternoon, I came up with the melody while playing around on my guitar. Then I was reading through some chapters of Psalm that revolved around the Psalmist's reverence towards God. I came across Psalm 95 and it fit perfectly. I added a few words of my own, but the song is mostly the words of scripture.
