Going into this project, I wanted to make pop bangers. Beyond this, I wanted to make songs that had a coherent and obvious mood. Over time each step of the songwriting process had me questioning my ideas of accessibility. Each step of the process became a service. I was searching for the sounds which I thought others would enjoy the most. I wrote lyrics filtered by judgment and relatability. By the end, I realized that I had made something that was really not for me. It was for everyone else. Each part of this project is made to be enjoyed. These are songs for other people.
