yoo so when I came to Australia I strongly didn't understand why the aboriginal people are not visibly present living the way they did for thousands of years along the coast. I researched the history and have learned a few things: 

1. the aboriginals have somewhat joined the new culture and therefore do not stick out as living seperately in a clear way

2. many of the aboriginals do not want to join the new culture and practice their culture but mostly in the centre and north of Australia to my understanding (seperate from the large coastal cities)

3. many of the aboriginals died and their culture with them like from illness and what seemed to be unnessecary killing by the colonisers but the information I've got on this is shit like were the colonisers defending themselves against being killed or were the colonisers going out of their way to kill these native people? I don't know but hopefully not the second because why? like literally why Australia is fucking massive. we can all live here. thas jus what I think it's logical.
