Here comes the 2nd release on our imprint from the classy duo, this time on vinyl. The Robinson continue their personal voyage into the shades of house, never forgetting their roots deeply linked to the second wave of Chicago House and the distinctive sound of Italo House.

This new effort consists of two tracks per side: two original cuts and just as many powerful remixes by the U.S. legends of the game, Fred P and Trinidadian Deep. Taste Rec. keeps the pressure high with an EP that unleashes pulsating beats and groovy basslines merged perfectly with soulful melodies, tribal percussions, and a special Kora solo recorded live.

Dreamy atmospheres alongside four-to-the-floor rhythms are the philosophy we pursue, and we prove it by delivering a record suitable for both clubs and private underground events.

We’d like to introduce you to Samuele De Santis as the next guest of our famous Apparel Radio Show. The Italian DJ and vinyl collector delivers a masterly assembled mix full of House gems to give us a taste of his very personal brand of sound. Classi of ‘91, he approaches music by listening to some old school Acid House tapes recorded at the end of the 80’s. He’s a vinyl junkie and his sets embrace a broad spectrum of Electronic Music ranging from House to its derivates.

Luo émerge de l'épicentre artistique de Nantes, berceau de ses premières explorations rythmiques à travers les percussions brésiliennes. Incarnant une fusion harmonieuse entre l'héritage vibrant des rythmes du Maracatu et l’expédition infinie de la scène électronique, ses premières notes résonnent au Warehouse à Nantes. Rapidement, son élan artistique l'entraîne au-delà des rives de la Loire jusqu'à la scène effervescente de Paris, où il s'immerge notamment dans l'énergie du Petit Bain et de la Machine du Moulin Rouge. Enquête insatiable de groove, il affine son art en arpentant les disquaires. Chaque choix musical devient une pièce soigneusement sélectionnée dans la mosaïque sonore qu'il compose. Son univers, riche en nuances, est une ode à la diversité culturelle et à l'évolution constante de sa propre identité.

Ah, Byron, Byron, Byron—what can we say? We're absolutely enamored with this guy's music. And, we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome him into our family on Low Recordings.

We are back with our second vinyl release, featuring Byron's "Love 4 Music." This 4-track EP is a celebration of love, with Side A and Side B showcasing two distinct styles where Byron truly shines. Side A delivers the club hits, while Side B envelops us in a soulful/R&B/deep house vibe.

Kicking off Side A is "Creepin' With U." The track begins with haunting chords that exude an eerie and raw vibe, swiftly leading into a thumping, club-certified kick drum. As the song progresses, a hint of nostalgia from the lo-fi days creeps in, complemented by vocal samples that add to the eerie atmosphere. Yes, it's eerie, but it's also robust and captivating—perfect for enticing bodies to move on a warehouse dance floor.

Next up is "Work That Girl (Tribal Mix)," the heavyweight of the four, tailor-made for the club/warehouse scene. The track starts with the clicking and clacking of hats and snares, Byron's vocals weaving in and out of the mix. The lyrics are crafted for a sweaty night of dancing, and as the kicks thump in, the energy rises. Byron's trademark chords seamlessly ooze into the mix, uniting our bodies with the song. Acid-sounding notes eventually lead us in and out of the groove—a solid club anthem.

Flipping over to Side B, we're greeted by "Inner Visions," where Byron slows things down and takes us in a different direction. A classic synth line initiates the track with a smooth kick, creating an airy vibe that melds perfectly with its melody. As the song grooves, Byron's soulful vocals pierce through, infusing warmth into his words. The warmth persists as the song progresses, with his voice echoing slightly more dissonance, leaving us with a proper vision for the closing track.

Closing out the EP, Byron guides us with a vision for a fun night in "Make Me Feel." Deep with a touch of R&B, the song exudes warmth and is all about feeling good with the person who got you through the night. Byron's sultry voice sits perfectly on the track as the basslines guide us through. His playful nature keeps things light and fun, rounding off the EP on a high note.

Carlo - Wild Things

Philipp Lauer is a veteran German DJ and producer who’s been carving his path through the scene for over two decades. Known for his diverse musical portfolio, he’s ventured into many collaborative projects and aliases over the years. Each of them offering a unique sonic experience and pushing the boundaries of electronic music to explore new territories.
 
You might have heard of him as Arto Mwambe with Christian Beißwenger, Black Spuma with Fabrizio Mammarella, Crabsticks with Bård Aasen Lødemel, Hotel Lauer with his brother Jacob, T & P with Tim Sweeney, Talamanca System with Gerd Janson and Mark Barrot, Tuff City Kids with Gerd Janson (again), and of course solo as Lauer.
 
His musical journey can be traced back to his early days as a skateboard kid enamored with the sounds of the '80s and '90s. It was through his exploration of electronic music that he found his true calling, diving headfirst into production despite humble beginnings with cheap software and a steep learning curve.
 
While his music is deeply rooted in house and disco, his sound is characterized by its melodic beauty and infectious grooves. He blends elements of nostalgia with modern-day sensibilities, creating a sound that is uniquely his own.
 
As Philipp continues to evolve and explore new musical horizons, one thing remains constant: his true passion for music. Whether he's in the studio crafting beats or behind the decks captivating audiences with his electrifying sets, Lauer's love for music shines through in everything he does. With each new project and collaboration, he continues to cement his status as one of the most influential figures in electronic music today.
 
For him, music is not just a profession but a lifelong passion, something he would continue to pursue even if it didn't pay the bills. We believe his musical journey is far from being over.
