A: "If I could erase a genre, it would either be techno-trance pop-edits or neo-rave. I really don't like both of them and generally I'm not a big fan of that tiktok-techno stuff that got so big over the recent years."

Berlin-based, German-born artist Josephine Voigt delivers our first podcast of 2024. As a resident DJ for local collectives @hraberlin, @cumulonimbus-berlin and the Leipzig-based @exilkollektiv, Josephine has emerged as a DJ to watch in recent years. She never lingers long on any one sound and fuses several sub-genres into her sets, evoking visceral feels in clubs like OXI, Suicide Club, ://about blank and beyond. Right now, Josephine is into minimalistic, hypnotic soundscapes punctuated by percussive-organic rhythms and psy textures, as displayed in her TM8 mix. Expect a tense and moody journey into the murkier ends of electronic music.

For this 7th podcast, we’re proud to host a mix from @agata_k, a Polish DJ/producer, and former singer and songwriter, currently residing in Berlin.

Her productions and DJ sets shine by the variety of sounds she explores, blending together captivating melodies, powerful rhythms, and cutting-edge trippy sound design. During her performances, she loves combining different genres from driving grooves and trance-infused techno, to psy and tek.

She self-released her debut EP, "Realign," in June last year, and since then she keeps releasing tracks on esteemed labels such as Deestricted, No Borders, technomate, and MUSA. Proudly affiliated with the @blvsh_collective, she actively contributes to supporting FLINTA talents within the local music scene. 📀📀📀
