Note: the executable has slight playback issues with the arpeggio notes in the middle, cause not known. This rendition is what was originally written and how it is supposed to sound.

Zero Percent

My winning entry to the Assembly 2023 Dance Music competition.

Sequenced and produced using Renoise 3.4, utilizing lots of period appropriate hardware synths like JD-990 and JV-1080 from Roland, Yamaha FS1R and Kawai K5000S; in fact all of the pads and most of the general soundscape are sourced from these instruments. Also lots of classic sample CDs utilized, and a general assortment of VST plugins.

This version of the track was sped up slightly to fit better to the 3:30 duration limit of the compo. This version is also generally shorter than it should be. Full version coming some day, possibly. The mix is also not perfect but at some point you just have to stop tweaking.

Wide Blur Yonder

Another minimalist electronica BoC style ambient downtempo idm song. Really happy with drum sound on this one. I also like how I managed to fuse two different melodic parts into this so seamlessly.

For A Better Tomorrow

Started out as a test drive of Korg Triton, ended up growing into a full track. Or, well, less than "full" in this form, but anyway. This mix finished an N64 demoscene demo of the same name (video and other links pending) made in collaboration by Ivory labs and Epoch.

Emotion Engine (Rush Mix)

A soundtrack for our Epoch demo called Engine. Very inspired by certain material by the Finnish group Pan Sonic.

This is the Environmental Station Alpha Soundtrack (titled "Music For An Imaginary Soundchip"). This is not a mere sound dump of the in-game audio files, but a properly enhanced and mastered soundtrack album for maximized aural enjoyment.

Gone are the at times sketchy loops necessary for the in-game soundtrack, instead replaced by proper closures. This combined with some slight re-structuring means there is several minutes of new material available on this OST release! 

Two noteworthy mentions are the tracks 10 and 15. "Stranger Danger" is a bonus track of sorts. It was originally meant to be one of the in-game area themes, but was at the end swapped out for sake of consistency and perceived lack of quality. It is included on this release for the sake of curiosity nevertheless. The closing track of the album is a reworked version of the very original 2012 trailer song. This version is also heard at the end of the game, or well, the first minute of it anyway. For now only available in the full glory on this very release! 

While not a direct emulation, the soundtrack as a whole was originally conceived as a love-letter for the FM and Wavetable based sound chips of the past, which is what the title of this soundtrack reflects. Though sonically enhanced, the music still retains it's intended digital-analog grittiness as present in the game as well. All of the minute changes made add up to as enjoyable as possible listening experience.

This was made as a soundtrack to supadupa's 45 second shortfilm "017571421", link below. The production won the shortfilm competition at the Simulaatio 2016 event.

This was made in about 6 hours one afternoon. All sound (apart from the percussions) was produced from a single sinewave sample with various effects.

808 Lazy

Composed and produced for the demoscene production "From The Seas To The Stars" by Eos. All sound is produced by a tiny software synthesizer, that takes about 2.5 kilobytes of space along with the song data. No additional mixing or external effects are used.
