Welcome to Open Tabs Vol. 1, the first mix of many in a series dedicated to highlighting tunes influential to me as well as creating an environment to showcase some of my upcoming or unreleased IDs. Additionally, we will be dedicating entire volumes to guest mixes from some super-talented homies ranging from all different types of genres here in my local scene. Hailing from the pulsating heart of Raleigh, Chase McGill, aka NO CHASER, is a relentless force in the underground bass music scene. Over the past decade, Chase has embarked on countless musical odysseys that have taken him across major national and international cities, immersing himself in the less explored and shadowed tapestry of each underground culture he has encountered.

Now based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Chase channels the energy of his travels and experiences into his project, NO CHASER. As a sonic architect of experimental trap-inspired bass music, he infuses his tracks with low, body-shaking sub-bass that reverberates through the soul. Drawing inspiration from sounds not typically associated with bass music, such as sub-genres found in Techno, UKG, and House, Chase curates sets that offer both space to breathe and an irresistible urge to get down.

Thriving in the underground, NO CHASER embodies the spirit of innovation and exploration, constantly pushing the boundaries of sound and genre conventions. With each performance, Chase invites listeners on a journey through the depths of his sonic landscape, where pulsating rhythms and electrifying beats converge to create an unforgettable auditory experience.
