Digital Structures welcomes Australian producer, Rainbird, back to the label with his debut album, Breaking the Illusion.

A sonic journey reflecting a decade of growth in music production and a deep connection with nature. Raised in a rainforest community and shaped by travels through Asia and Tibet, Rainbird draws on ancestral energies and lived experiences to evolve the distinct Rainbird sound. The album blends organic textures, psychedelic rhythms, and emotional depth.

At its core, Breaking the Illusion is about freeing ourselves from the grip of modern technology and returning to the natural world. The music invites listeners to lose themselves in movement and reconnect with the infinite self and the mystical realms around us. Each track is a petal in the Flower of Life, symbolizing nature’s power to reclaim and restore balance.

In creating the album, Rainbird focused on simplicity, giving each sound space to speak without being lost in cluttered arrangements. This shift from earlier work brought clarity and helped bring order to inner chaos. The hope is that the music offers others the same sense of healing and connection.

Breaking the Illusion is more than an album. It is a reflection of life’s journey and a personal evolution in sound. Guided by ancestral memory and the force of nature, Rainbird invites listeners to awaken their senses and step into deeper awareness through rhythm and resonance.

Étienne Turgy-Chartré, aka Nocide, was born on april 3, 1991 in Montreal. He first discover the music at the age of 10,with the manipulation of an acoustic guitar and a keyboard.

Electronic music appeared to him for the first time in 2008 and it was at this time that the artist began to take an interest in the art of mixing. Beginning with Drum'n bass, Nocide later discovered other interesting musical styles such as break beat, Techno and Psy-prog and created his first full product in 2010.

The self-taught artist was recruited by Dj School Montreal in 2014 to teach Ableton Live and has since performed in various Electronic Music Festivals, such as Eclipse,  Timeless, Totem, Space Gathering Groove and bass, Tribunion and many more.

Characterized by a fat and deep bassline, Nocide techno is both dark and dancing, sometimes creaky but always festive. Without corresponding to any musical kind, his style could be considered as Tech-minimal Prog.

 In terms of his Trip-Hop, Lo-Fi and experimental projects, they are much lighter and more personal.
