@vanivachi (she/her) is a live act, DJ, producer, and songwriter, and a resident of the queer collective Veselka. With years of international experience behind the decks, she has developed a unique sound blending groove-driven, trance-infused elements with strong roots in old-school techno.

Her music journey began in London, shaped further in Kyiv’s underground scene, where she curated events like Outside and Gems at Otel’. Now based in Berlin, she continues as a long-term resident and partner of Veselka, hosted at Revier Südost.

Over the years, Vani Vachi’s dynamic energy has graced the lineups of festivals and collectives such as Whole Festival, Feel Festival, Roskilde, Brave! Factory, ICKPA, Pornceptual, Gegen, RSO, FOLD, and more. She has also contributed mixes for Mixmag, Rinse France, and has played multiple times in Hör’s iconic green bathroom.

LIGHD hat mit Anfang 20 angefangen Punk & Elektropunk auzuflegen & ist über die letzten 15 Jahre immer mehr in die elektronischen Sphären der DIY-Subkultur abgedriftet. 

Seit 2022 ist sie Teil von 939avantgarde (Flensburg) & fand Nährboden für musikalische Weiterentwicklung.

Mit diesem Input ist der Escape Podcast ein rares, trancefluides Set geworden. 

Es ist eine riesige Ehre, dass LIGHD uns einen Podcast aufgenommen hat – das ist nämlich der erste!

January's journey into techno

another one inspired by labels and artists I really like.
It's a bit less structured than I usually prefer, but I wanted to blend a few different genres. It starts with a tribal/tech house vibe in the first half, transitions into a moodier dub-driven section, and closes with one of my favorite old-school garage tracks.
