Introducing SOLO CON TE (FOREVER), an album featuring 13 remixes of the track SOLO CON TE by Milan based producer and multidisciplinary artist st.grimes, originally released as part of the compilation KILL THE EGO #1, along with productions by artists such as Aggromance, Cimarron, jaijiu, and many more. Released by the Ecuadorian label CTM, this album stands as a seminal work, showcasing the creative reimaginations of internationally renowned artists from around the globe and the direction of st.grimes. Each artist has infused the original track with their unique vision and the distinct influences of their surroundings, resulting in a vibrant tapestry of sound.
These productions are rich with nods to rave culture and exhibit an obsessive attention to the global soundscape, incorporating elements of guaracha, cumbia, and reggaeton. SOLO CON TE (FOREVER) invites listeners to look inward while challenging them to break free from any genre-defining conventions, offering an immersive auditory experience that transcends traditional musical boundaries.

SOLO CON TE (FOREVER)

Within the span of a year, Tallinn-based club night series and creative collective Shelter has managed to rally dozens of electronic musicians from all corners of the world to an unexpected meeting point by the Baltic Sea. By curating club nights that showcase local talents aside some of the brightest minds in electronic music today, Shelter has undeniably played a significant role in revitalizing Tallinn’s club scene.

More importantly, Shelter uses its platform to shed light on some of the worst humanitarian crises currently plaguing our planet. Beyond covering event costs, ticket sales proceeds from Shelter Showcase events have been directed to organizations who provide resources to those in need, including the Ottawa Black Diaspora Coalition in Ukraine and the Rebuilding Alliance in Palestine.

To celebrate 1 year of building bridges between communities and incubating forward-thinking electronic music, Shelter presents Feyrûse: a compilation album featuring 17 tracks by an intercontinental melting pot of musicians, majority of whom have graced the dancefloors of Shelter.

Feyrûse aims to capture increasing unity within the global electronic music community. The musical styles represented on the album are as varied as its diverse cast of artists, ranging from purpose-built hybrid club to serene and blissful melodic rituals.

✶ Rumina is a DJ, artist, and producer from Malmö, Sweden. Since 2018, she has been an integral part of the dynamic music and studio collective FNGRLCKN. She has been a resident at Retreat Radio since 2019, where she hosts her monthly program Rattle. Rumina draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of genres and influences, such as deconstructed club, folk, punk, and dembow, constantly pushing the boundaries of her sound.

The Shapeshift Spaceship universe is transfuturistic. Being at the boundary of states is not an anomaly in this universe, but a starting point.

Shapeshifting is a method of applied radical imagination that, in the manner of afro- and other emancipatory -futurisms, uses the spatiotemporal immensity of the future and intergalactic distances to declare a transfuturistic universe free from conventional gender and taxonomic reasoning.

The central motif of the Shapeshift Spaceship project – emancipation through the transformation of one's own shape – has an age-old parallel in music: it too uses the principle of constant ephemeral change, rhythmed by repetition, to create its own elusively passing beauty with the extraordinary capacity to transform human emotions along with its own change. The possible maximum of this intoxication with music is a state of ecstatic rapture, a transformation directly experienced through the moving body, accompanied with the awareness of the expanded nature of existence as an indivisible continuum of all its interconnected parts.

Carlo Alberto Madoglio, aka st.grimes, is a musician, producer and multidisciplinary artist based in Milan (IT). With Eurosport, debut EP and first contribution to Austrian label Ashida Park, st.grimes took us on the perfect polyrhythmic journey by synthesizing all his influences into a genre-bending release. His productions are filled with nods to abandoned rave sounds and an obsessive attention to rythm. They look inward while inviting the listener to disregard any genre-defining listening conventions.
