My first song of 2013! I think this is the longest I've ever spent on a song that's just a little over two minutes long (mainly because of the harpsichord stuff...that was a reeeaalll pain '-_-). After listening to the song for a couple of days, I became familiar with most of the notes and so it became a little easier to make this in its entirety. I'm pretty proud of this piece as a whole, mainly due to the fact that I was able to capture the spirit of the original song all by ear (though I bent the song towards my style and ultimately it ended up sounding more classical). If there are two things that I would like to improve right off the bat...it would have to be in making the song longer and also improving the ending.

This is, by far, one of my favorite pieces from Crystal Chronicles. I can remember when I used to play the game and he would show up, I would always make sure to leave the game still for a while so that I could hear the song. When you were traveling around the world and then a random event popped up and you heard this...you knew you were knee deep in some crazy stuff! The Black Knight is just a badass.

Anyway, I would love some feedback for this piece. If you liked the song or think it needs some work, then please let me know! :D

Inspired a bit by Kumi Tanioka, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

Divinity

One of two compositions that started from working with the same chord sequence, for my "Producer Skills" university assignment.

This track is heavily inspired by the wonderful soundtrack to the game "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles" by Kumi Tanioka, but also the work of two other game composers who I consider great influences, Yasunori Mitsuda and Masashi Hamauzu. I enjoyed composing this track immensely, playing around with irregular time signatures, recording small percussion, and string arrangements.

This was actually my first experience arranging with the orchestra, so it's very, very simple. :)
The song is part of the game Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

When the Northern Sky is Clear (re-orchestrated)

An adventurous melody, from an old game from back when the Gamecube was hot: The opening cinematic theme of "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles". Retold from a lovely "friend" of mine, she made me fall in love with the game like I did all those years ago, and also falling in love all over again with a certain someone. In any case, one of my favorite Final Fantasy pieces ever, so hopefully you like my rendition~

Pygmy Panic is an AR (augmented reality) game being developed over a 9 week period as part of an international game competition known as Dare to be Digital. The competition culminates in an event known as Dare Protoplay in Dundee, Scotland, where the 15 industry picked teams compete to go to the game BAFTAs and win the ones to watch award!
