Random Musings - December 2020

Now this mix right here is from an extra special guest, one who descended into madness just to curate this debauchery of a selection. A dear friend who truly and deeply understands our love for music.

For those of you who may know, Johan N. Lecander is the Creative Director of DI.FM. And if so, you would definitely know how monumental Digitally Imported has been in it's online electronic music presence over the years, giving many of us our regular routine listening across many channels and from multiple artists who frequently air on those.

It is Johan, who first approved our Chapters, that too at a monthly prime time slot. Every First Friday of the Month from 5.30 - 7pm GMT. That itself, was a landmark for us. Getting our own monthly residency on DI.FM - a station which has inspired us and introduced us to so much talent for more than a decade!

It is also Johan who motivated us to start with the Curates series, earlier than we initially ended to, when lockdown first started last year. Though others greatly dissuaded us to postpone it due to the saturation of online streaming, it wouldn’t have happened without Johan pushing us, and in turn the series. 
And you've all seen the diversity of amazing artists that have curated for us till date. It only made sense that we have him curate for us just before our year mark for this segment.

Furthermore, when pitching our commendable new series in December. An outlet to allow emerging talent to showcase their storytelling, it was Johan that said, "7 monthly radio shows, we've never had that ever before on DI, but hey man, if anyone can handle it and handle it well .. it's you" and thus began our weekly affair with Chronicles Commends.

It's just been slightly over the year mark and we now have 7 monthly radio shows, over 3 series and are extremely privileged to showcase anything and everything that musically touches us, without any creative or genre limitations.

Johan, thank you for all you've done for our Chronicles - the consistent support and encouragement that you selflessly extend. Not just for us, but for many others, as you have been for quite a few years.

After a long break and many up and downs during the most challenging year for many of us so far, I've finally managed to spin some new dj sets which will range between Trance Classics selection and Underground Progressive compilations. 
So, here we are, with a brand-new Trance Classics selection to add to your favourites list hopefully, along with the previous ones which are all still available via my Soundcloud, Mixcloud and HearThis official pages. 
Track list will be published later to give you the opportunity to experience the set live as Premiere first. Anyway, if you know my musical background you will somehow know what to expect during these 2 hours Studio mix. I would really love giving you some hints about what you're going to hear but that would ruin the magik behind building a dj set by creating so-called story or music journey...so hit the play button and let yourself dive into the different shades of Trance music with this selection of some of my old favourites.

Bear in mind, this is not a chart: like with all the other previous Classics mixes, I'm just randomly selecting tunes from my music library and going with the flow during the mix.
