Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance and brought a much needed new energy to New York’s sound when she started DJing in the early 2000s and while as a resident of Mr. Black & Westgay, both truly notorious in New York’s club history. Currently she can be heard as one half of The Carry Nation at their monthly residency at Good Room, Battle Hymn and many touring dates around the globe.

Marco Gomez aka Junior M / False Witness is a musician, DJ and visual artist from Boston. In their False Witness persona, they weave through various forms of Techno, from aggressive to euphoric, incorporating disparate genres influences meticulously. Their Junior M moniker, which debuted in 2023, is informed from their experiences in NYC and Berlin, hybridizing classic House with Italo, Belgian New Beat, EBM and Latin rhythms. They have performed globally at various institutions & event series including Frieze Art Fair London, Lab.oratory at Berghain, Hyperreality Festival Vienna, Herrensauna, Spielraum Amsterdam, Bulto Bogotá, SXSW Austin and Warm Up at MoMA PS1 in New York City. Your favourite SoundCloud rapper is back with the monthly EP release. Once again, I’m bringing you a club-oriented pack filled with heat. This time it’s 4 club-ready tracks plus a bonus one — an unreleased song from last year.

A few years ago I was only making electro. That’s when I first got fascinated by synthesizers. I guess things came full circle, because now I’m back to being obsessed with them. With this project I wanted to focus on synths and melodies, creating something you can truly lose yourself in.

OKO DJ is a core member of a few key collectives: the first is the Brothers From Different Mothers label she has been signed to, and the second is LYL Radio, where she heads up the Paris department and hosts the monthly Synchronisme ou Barberie with the Bruits de la Passion crew, as well as her own women-only show Pu$$y Nightmare. She is utterly diverse in the music she plays, which ranges from doom laden psych to 80s synth to cold body music via futuristic soundscapes. Mixing with a focus on vibe and feeling rather than scene or style, she is freed up to go wherever the music takes her. 

And so it is that her mix starts with an energised spoken word monologue then transitions to experimental beats, spooky synth tracks and jungle all within the first fifteen minutes. Dark and foreboding passages are often offset by more exotic moments of calming ambiance and for every frazzled synth and blizzard of drums there is a restorative dub moment to reset the mood. Such a series of highs and lows, darks and lights is not often found in the same set, and what’s what sets OKO DJ apart.
