I am grateful every day for the color that music brings to my life. It provides an escape but also a soundtrack to the ever-changing moments in our lives. No matter your background, values or beliefs, music brings us together under one roof. Who knows where this journey will take us, but here is a passage from this passing moment in my life, made up almost entirely of unreleased music made over the past 30 days. I think my inspiration is clear to see, but hopefully my own voice still carries through the sound I make.

We are very excited to say that todays Far Blue concept is created by the talented noc:turne. Over the past weeks, noc:turne took the opportunity to reflect on his past summer and translate this feeling into what has become this beautiful one-hour mix.

“The set was recorded after having got the chance to play with and meet a wonderful group of people over summer. These are some of the tracks that, for me, lie somewhere between inspiring and intimidating. It's time to head back to the desk, taking in all I have learnt and experienced, to begin the next chapter. “

A Far Blue concept by noc:turne - 'Social Comparison'

a million ways

No stranger to Delayed is Milan based Korinami, and his often cinematic productions. Each full to the brim with emotion and ear-worm like melodies, that seem to reverberate through your mind. His forthcoming release, ‘Personal Passage’ expands upon these ideas even more so by drawing upon a plethora of remixers to twist and create new interpretations. 

Our focus for today lies with Noc:turne’s remix of the aptly named, ‘Pick Me Up’, as the Brussels based DJ and producer starts with a deconstructed vibe. Disparate percussion beats seem to fall at random before the main groove instantiates itself and the soaring pads give hints of what is to come. As the track progresses, so too does the feeling of grandness, that this is a moment not to be forgotten. A jolt of energy, or good feelings… a pick me up if you will.

Noc:turne is joined by Summit Dub, Sanjib, Mucho Sueno, Inhmost, April Bourne, and Gal Tsadok-Hai to round out the diverse group for ‘Personal Passage’ which will be out on November 25th.

Noc:turne - We Could Have Been [Lost In Translation]

Just over a year after the release of Boaksi's acclaimed album "I Thought It Was Yesterday" on Zürich-based label Project Indigo, the imprint returns with an exciting remix collection that showcases a diverse array of talent like Lawrence, noc:turne, Louf, Jvxta, Soela and Al Zanders reimagining the original tracks. 

Our premiere for today is a remix of the title track by Lost In Translation co-founder noc:turne. The remix maintains the atmospheric beauty of the original, characterized by lush pads and a gorgeous melody that carries the listener on a journey. What sets this interpretation apart is noc:turne's meticulous use of percussion – crisp hi-hats punctuate the track, adding an evolving sense of tension that builds throughout. As the remix unfolds, a subtle acid sequence emerges in the track's final stretch, masterfully interwoven to create a mesmerizing listening experience.

Boaksi's "I Thought It Was Yesterday (remixes)" is scheduled for release on September 15 via Project Indigo.

It's been a very promising couple of years for the Brussels based artist noc:turne. Since we were first introduced to his captivating music on a boat party in north London in the summer of 2022 he has gone on to play gigs across Europe, launch a record label 'Lost In Translation' and most recently release a stunning remix on the highly respected Swiss imprint 'Project Indigo'. We're not quite sure where doing an Oleeva Podcast lands on this scale of notable achievements, but he's done one nonetheless and its quite something. After forming a base of the musical concept of Far Blue through the mix series, Far Blue now takes the concept a step further with releasing carefully curated original music. The ‘Shared Sense’ EP stands for a unified perception, transcending individual viewpoints and bringing together different perspectives, experiences and inspiration. 

✨The intro track of the EP comes from Lost In Translation’s noc:turne, who has composed an atmospheric and deep track with touching soundscapes. With Silent Metropolis, the belgian producer has managed to create a space to immerse yourself in, gradually building up from the start.
