About “Flickerstorm (Album Version)”
This track was inspired by the sounds of New Order and Echo & the Bunnymen that kept playing in my head under the moonlight.
I blended those influences with the dub and electronic elements I deeply admire, and it became the very first track I completed as Olttaoff.

Under my previous artist name, my works leaned more toward electronic downtempo. Over time, however, I realized that post-rock is an essential part of my identity, which led me to create this piece. In many ways, it feels like a return to my roots while moving forward.

It also marks a turning point in my process — shifting from hardware-based production to working fully in DAWs. The TR-909 featured on the artwork represents that transition, as well as a tribute to Roland, the iconic maker from my hometown in Japan.

Another version of our Whispering Forest with joerxworx's fabulous contribution. I have been discussing soul & motown music and the records that inspired the Northern Soul movement with Morten a lot recently,  so there's a hint of that in this track.

This song is a title track of my 20th single PLAY LOUDER. The genres are Alternative rock / Lo-Fi / J-ROCK. The moods are Happy / Motivational / Upbeat. The style is Experimental. The category is Happy & Upbeat. I wrote and recorded this alone in my room with a guitar, a synth, a mic and a PC in 2017. Bass by synth. This song was created when I was performing live alone in Nagoya and I decided to release this now to recapture the hungry spirit I had then. Cover art and MV by myself. This features Japanese lyrics, reggae-inspired vocals, Lo-fi and experimental sound design. The composition, the arrangement and the production were heavily influenced by Beck especially ODELAY.
