Malibu Shark Attack are Rocky O'Reilly (Belfast, N.Ireland) and Tribe One (Atlanta, GA)

O'Reilly is formerly of Irish indie-pop duo Oppenheimer. 
Tribe One is one third of Atlanta rap group The Remnant.


"Doing It Wrong" sets the tempo for their hooky soundscapes that carry Tribe One's heart-warming, life-affirming story lines. 


The Trans-Atlantic Indie-Rap duo started out a little like the Postal Service, give or take the budget for mailing physical packages. 


Ideas & loops formed into songs & themes. As one uploaded tunes and hit the hay, the other would wake up and start recording.


The result is a unique blend of "Post New Wave-Prog-Electronica-Indiecore-Synthpop Rap"

These are the opening lines of Better Off As Friends, the opening track from Trans-Atlantic duo Malibu Shark Attack's debut album. 
It's the air-clearing explanation of their enthusiasm for a new musical outlet following the end of their previous acts. 
A sympathetic counselling session for anyone that's felt the pain of their favourite artist calling it a day. 
They've called on Irish indie-rockers The Dudley Corporation to lend vocals to the track, telling the band's side of the story. 
The video shares the turmoil and heartache in the loss of some of the band's most-loved groups. From The Undertones and Sleater-Kinney to The Streets and ABBA. 
They want you to remember one thing. No matter what happens, you'll always have the albums. 
As long as you don't smash them up.

Wonder Villains - Zola

Wonder Villains are Eimear Coyle, Cheylene Murphy, Ryan McGroarty and Kieran Coyle. They live in Derry, N.Ireland. 

Fresh out of high school (The girls got their A-Levels results in the Summer) the band have embarked upon an incredible journey in the past year which has seen them win the NI Music awards 'Contenders' title.

Invitations by BBC Introducing to play the Radio One Big Weekend Festival were followed by support shows with New Young Pony Club, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, The Human League, The Undertones and General Fiasco. 

They play blistering joyous Anti-Pop, smashing through two minute pop songs while cranking the distortion on their homemade keyboard sounds. 

Their debut single (released Oct 23rd) received play nationally on BBC Radio 1 (Daytime & Specialist), Radio 2, 6 Music, XFM, Q, Absolute Radio and they bagged their debut national TV performance on ESPN's Talk Of The Terrace show. Being the house band and playing the show out with their track "Zola" a quirky stomper telling tales of the Italian football legend Gianfranco Zola. 

The single was also in the top five Radio chart new entries in Ireland on the week of it's release, a week in which Wonder Villains embarked on their first UK tour in sold out venues supporting General Fiasco. 

They will release two more singles in Spring time and have already been confirmed for SXSW, Dot To Dot Festival and HMV's Next Big Thing. 


A Huw Stephens session on BBC Radio 1 was broadcast in Dec and the track 'Zola' is one of Q magazines recommended tracks in their December '11 edition.

Ferrari is released 19th February through No Dancing Records in association with Third Bar.

The So-So Sailors are five sun-burnt stowaways left adrift upon the high seas. Eagerly awaiting land, they dream of a pristine beach where they can sip coconut milk and shoot pistols without fear of criminal prosecution or possible complaints by the neighbors. Nah, screw that (the coconut part anyway)! It's just Chris Machmuller, Dan McCarthy, Alex McManus, Brendan Walsh and Dan Kemp.

Though a clear departure from the individual members previous projects, citing a clear appreciation for 60's - 70's Lounge and R&B esthetics, The So-So Sailors are comfortably out of their element. Setting the wheel to a barely visible point on the horizon, and plotting a course for misadventure, the Sailors find that the farther out to sea they travel, the more it feels like home.

Wonder Villains are brother and sister Kieran and Eimear Coyle, Cheylene Murphy and Ryan McGroarty. From Derry - the UK Capital of Culture 2013 - they make blistering anti-pop, not entirely dissimilar in spirit from that legendary Derry band...the Undertones

(Incidentally drummer Kieran played the Undertones drummer in the new movie about the Belfast record label Good Vibrations - due for release in March 2013)

The band have played America, Morocco, toured the UK and supported the likes of New Young Pony Club, Castiotone For The Painfully Alone and The Undertones amongst others, as well as playing on the Introducing stage at Radio 1’s One Big Weekend 

They smash through two minute pop songs while cranking the distortion on their homemade keyboard sounds and their first three singles Zola, Ferrari and TV received plays nationally on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, XFM, Q, Absolute Radio. The band’s debut album ‘Rocky’ will be out in early summer.
