The album is entitled d3ad_form4t a reference to the out of date electronics that make these unique sound possible.  The 8 song album features distinctive rhythms and beats as well as a great ear for hooks and melody. The album is mashing of 8bit games sounds with hard hitting electronic sounds. The entire records was written and recorded using an original Nintendo. It features several new songs written specifically for the release as well as remixed and reworked material that appeared on their first two EPs. The album will be available in three formats. 

A digital download that will be available for the band's website www.nodetransmission.com. Pricing on the digital download will be a "pay what you want" with all of the sales being donated to the Electronic Freedom Foundation (www.eff.org). 

A limited edition CD will also be for sale at the bands website. 

The final format will be an extremely limited edition handmade cartridge that will play the entire album on an original Nintendo system. The album will be released under the Creative Commons license. For more information about this licensing visit http://creativecommons.org/

node-11.11.11 Soulful

A deep love of video games and all things geek-related inspired Dru Streicher to begin experimenting with his own take on the 8-bit music coming out of Europe and major US cities and _node was officially born. He teamed up with Matt Bowen and Amanda Bowen providing vocal for the first two EPs. Amanda went on to persue her film making leaving _node as a duo. Armed with two originial Gameboys running the homebrew Swedish software LSDJ, _node produces its unique sound. A custom modifed nintendo provides are vivid visual backdrop to their live performances. Drawing from influences as diverse as Detroit techno artists Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Ritchie Hawtin to the IDM sounds of Aphex Twin and Autechre. Thrown in the mix are the pioneers of the new 8-bit sound Lo-Bat, Nullsleep, Pulselooper. _node is producing forward thinking dance music on out of date hardware. Hardware re-purposed from gaming to create a sound-scape that reflects the city of Cleveland. From complex beats and simple melodies to the four to the floor sound to make you dance the cold winter nights away.
