It is really matter of taste. There is a lot of great music done today, 20th century was absolutely great/revolutionary for developement of architecture and abstract paintings are about idea and feeling. I like both and Rothko isn't about fast art that sells well ;). There are painters skilled in realistic painting and they are in demand. It's just - that stuff was done so people are finding new ways how to express art/themselves. Also art isn't only about nice/pretty stuff, that would be utterly boring imo..... Def with you on bitcoin though.
