The Old Man's Rocker

I was sitting on my porch playing my acoustic guitar when our neighbor Andy came over with his accordion. Then Cousin Julie came over with her jugs.  That long haired hyppie kid from down the street came over with his electric guitar and wanted to join in.  I said yes but only when I point to you. So I yelled to ma “get your washboard we’s goinna make some music”!

I am playing the lead guitar and via my keyboard controller the jugs and washboard. The foot tapping is a wav and the balance of the tracks is BiaB using my sound sources.


The Ad Song

v-I saw an ad, that caught my eye
That is something, I'd like to try
It said I could play, a guitar in a week
All I had to do was follow, their technique

v-Sent in my money, went to the music store
Bought me a stratocaster, and much more
An amp, strap, cord and a pick
I was gonna make some rocking music

c-The course said the first thing I must do
Is make sure the guitar is in tune
They suggested a tuner I should get
Back to the music store, wrote another check

If I can't do this, my brain must be lard
I turned the tuning thingies, I heard a ping
Back to the music store to buy a new E string

c-I never got pass, that first page
I became totally enraged
I got so mad my ears started to ring
How in hell do you tune this darn thing

I'm gonna try something else instead
I'm gonna play a song by Metallica
On my brand new harmonica

Once I told a story once, took me three days long,  
By the time I got to Tuesday, my friends were gone.

Somebody's America

Earlier this month my cousin passed. Years ago she prayed for her son as he left for his ministry education. Right after her prayer a butterfly landed on her; she saw it was God's signal that everything will be OK.  It was and now her son is a pastor. This is for you Maralee.
