i wanted to keep going with the story that was being told in the original song, so i pictured a dark castle on a hill where the narrator finds their lover dead 😶. i really love writing melodramatic stuff so i went deep with that concept lol. as the song goes on, the narrator decides they can't bear to live without their love and vows to join them in the afterlife.

unfortunately wrote this about a crush that went sour. it hit me all at once that it was all in my head and just about looks.
i used the track "love isn't made" from xxyyxx for the instrumental. i used to listen to his self titled so much in m*ddle school. truly amazing music to get lost in, you should check him out if you've never hearddd!!
