Noemi Aurora is an Italian singer-songwriter and music producer. Her voice is already known for her almost twenty-year career with the duo Helalyn Flowers, which gave her the way to establish herself in the Electro / Industrial circuit and also Alternative Metal as one of the most versatile and distinctive voices of modern Gothic. 
She was often compared to singers like Kate Bush, Bjork, Siouxsie or even Madonna. To date she has published 6 full length albums and over 10 EPs, and she got to collaborate with many acts of the Electronic scene such as Leaether Strip, Blutengel, Andy (Bluvertigo) and participated in numerous tribute albums (Depeche Mode, The Cure and Front 242 the most relevant)of which magazines and radios have particularly welcomed the versions performed by her own band. 

What ties her musical taste is the depth. Where there is the danceability there is melancholy. Where there is lightness there is atmosphere. Where there is hardness there is glamor. 

During the first lockdown due to COVID-19, Noemi Aurora felt the need to write the soundtrack of that alienating state, isolation and restriction, which inspired her particularly and gave her the way to start a solo path that had not yet had way to explore previously. Surrounded by the most isolated nature of the Roman province, Noemi Aurora has obtained her electronic nest, she arms herself with microphone, synths and her very first guitar in the purest spontaneity. There is no purpose of writing an album, to do the single of the year, nor does she know even if they are songs to make public. Noemi Aurora knows only that these notes must erupt. 

What results are songs with mazy and sometimes almost tribal beats, which are a platform to orchestrations that recall "Lynchian" soundtracks and retro-futuristic electronics combining Kraftwerk, Velvet Underground, Zola Jesus, Roxy Music, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Lana del Rey, Dead Can Dance, Siouxie and the Banshees, Kate Bush, Ladytron and much more. Her voice dominates everything in a fusion of bewitching whispers, Mediterranean vocals with an ambient tone and pop-rock driven melody that makes her songs catchy but never trivial. 

What distinguishes Noemi Aurora is in fact the ability to merge the various vibrations of a style precisely born from the combination of a passionate ethereal abstractness with the electricity of neon alienism. With the music of Noemi Aurora we dance in ecstasy in a Sabbath of modern eroticism, in which the animal instinct rooted in the human being joins with the most glacial austerity of the machines. 

In fact, her style is recognizable for the truthfulness in the way she employs synths, from the most vintage to those with a more EDM or Industrial flavor, intervening with nonconformist classical and ethnic tool, as to map her roots in a ‘family sound-tree’. 

Fighting against a very hard personal period, Noemi Aurora necessarily slowed the production of the tracks. But this disputed period has particularly solidified the content of her project. It is no coincidence that her motto is 'per aspera ad astra'. 

What randomly made tangible are two songs composed in 2020 and finished of mixing in 2022. These songs contain the main themes treated by Noemi Aurora, facing pain and adversities as a warrior of the woods getting out of a spaceship. 

The first song 'Untouchable' makes you breathe desert air, the warmth of an alienating dream that slowly immerses into a portal directed to a sandy and alchemical rave. 

The other one, 'Shining', is the most electrified side, a metropolitan appointment with our own dark side. Looking at our mirror, what unites us and its reflection are the cracks. But at the end, we are always shining disasters.

The love that Noemi Aurora has both for contact with nature and for the exploration of new technologies are merged in this project.
