Ligand, formerly known as ‘Genetic Disease’, is a young Tāmaki Makaurau based Dj with a deep-rooted love for dubstep. Having spent nearly a decade attending bush doofs across the country, Ligand has been profoundly influenced by the psychedelic music scene. Ligand plays all things dubstep/140 with an emphasis on chunky basslines, trippy sounds and sweet ethereal ambience. With a seamless fusion of light and dark elements, Ligand creates a distinct and hauntingly beautiful sonic landscape that transports listeners to an otherworldly dimension.
