Le dj de la team Nohell nous annonce aujourd'hui la date de sortie de son premier E.p, le 20 Octobre et une release partie prévue au Nouveau Casino à la même date. 

Aux rythmiques tantôt cadencées, tantôt plus lentes, très actuelles mais aussi ethniques. Le projet World-Trap-Electro nous plonge dans un mélange musicale qui nous rappelle que comme le monde, la musique n’a pas de barrières, ni de frontières. Un projet où la spiritualité et l’appel au voyage résonnent du début à la fin. A chaque titre une escale dans un nouvel univers et avant, sa sortie, DANG vous offre un nouvel aperçu de ce qui vous attend avec le titre NORTH.

BBE Music is proud to present the first official compilation of edits by Berlin DJ producer and label owner Daniel Haaksman, titled “Black Atlantica Edits”.
In 2004, Haaksman put Brazilian baile funk on the map with his seminal “Rio Baile Funk Favela Booty Beats” compilation. Today he runs Man Recordings, Europe ́s leading tropical bass label, which has put out more than one hundred releases cultivating trans-continental music and sound dialogues between Europe, South America and Africa. For “Black Atlantica Edits”, Daniel presents ten dancefloor-friendly reworks, made both from vintage and current tracks, from all across the Americas and Africa. Featuring a diverse cast of international artists including Francis Bebey, CK Mann, Soul Brothers, Bonde Do Rôlé and Kaba Blon, this album explores the Afro-Latin diaspora, with edits that consistently grace the record crates of Gilles Peterson and Mr Scruff among others.
The album’s title refers to the Paul Gilroy's 1993 book “The Black Atlantic : Modernity and Double Consciousness”. In it Gilroy examines how the Black diasporic history of the Atlantic challenges art and knowledge to find new forms - with music being particularly important. Daniel Haaksman picked up on Gilroy ́s idea of the Black Atlantic as a transnational cultural realm when putting together his musical deconstructions and reworks for his “Black Atlantica Edits”. Daniel intentionally added an “a” to the “Atlantic” to point out to the non- English, Portuguese, Spanish or French speaking cultures that are part of the wider Black Atlantic space, e.g. Brazil and Angola, and to a further extent also countries like Peru, Cameroon or Mali, which all have been touched by the trans-continental dialogues and its hybrid culture.

No stranger to the local Malaysian underground scene, Mister Rodrigo (FKA The Mutual Collective). Currently based between Kuala Lumpur and Orlando, he is heavily impacted by the working-class culture of his hometown and his music explores the roots of house and techno with a focus on breakbeat and garage. Having founded his digital creative studio, Wax Tropical Studios in 2020, he strives to produce music that has a raw feeling to it with taste of the nostalgic sound that represents himself as an artist.

Merging his love of genres within the electronic music sphere, Mister Rodrigo kicks off his new chapter as a producer that takes him back to his roots in the UK with an EP that explores a genre that’s timeless, Garage. The first track on the EP merges a catchy chord progression with the signature Garage percussions and raw vocals that define the direction of the EP. The second track is a dub mix that brings out Mister Rodrigo’s darker side with a heavier modular pattern that is guaranteed to be a cut that explodes the dance floor! We round off the EP with a remix from one of Kuala Lumpur’s rising electronic producers, Analog K, that gives the original track a disco-infused flavour with a groovy bass line that’s going to keep you dancing!

Après une série de remixes de stars françaises provenant du back catalogue  Warner Music (Françoise Hardy, Sheila, Véronique Sanson ...), la Funky French League est de retour avec de nouveaux reworks qui explorent le disco latino-américain,

trois titres tous sortis en 1980.

"Baila Mi Ritmo" d'Irakere, de Cuba écrit et composé par la légende Chucho Valdes sort en 3 versions (mix prolongé / montage radio / dub).

"Dance, Dance, Dance" par Orquesta Novel  formation latino-américaine de New York.

"La Cotorra" du venezuelien Perucho Conde,  dont le rythme est inspiré de Rappers Delight de Sugar Hill Gang est l'un des tout premiers rap en espagnol.
"La Cotorra" sort également avec une version bonus beat spécialement conçue pour les DJ.
