The only existing genre is the artistic one, all the others (pop, rock, jazz, etc,) are label limiting in most cases even a simple approach to music. Genres are anachronistic and tied to market trends, this website is not interested in it. Even so, in order to avoid confusion and disorientation in the exploration of the multitude of products you can listen to in this website, we propose a different type of classification. We believe that every work carries an emotional load and an experience. There are albums which fit into a situation, and albums which fit into an other! Albums suited to an intimate mood, "sociable" albums. Any of this situations is approximately synthesized, in this website, with COLORS. They don't express a taste or a style, but the emotion we felt while listening to an album.

1. noHiPSTER: is a website dedicated to listening and reviewing brand new albums.

2. noHiPSTER aims exclusively to keep music alive and spread it all around, as much as possible, ever!

3. noHiPSTER hopes to import in a country like Italy, where national and international distribution of musical products is limited, largest number of artistic material is possible, in accordance with the laws in force and every artist’s will.

4. noHiPSTER doesn’t believe in singles, but it respects the strain and the care lying behind any musical project, synthesized in an album: only listening to it from the beginning to the end it will be possible to support a reliable critic. For better or worse.

5. noHiPSTER still believes in criticism, so here you will only find what has passed through the filter of our (and your) critic. This is NOT a music sharing website, like MySpace® or Suondcloud®. That said, our will is to receive works and hints about works from brand new artists or music lovers that would like to present their albums to this filter. You can do that trough our special section: “collaborate with us”.

2. noHiPSTER punta esclusivamente a far si che la musica viva e si diffonda, il più possibile, sempre!

3. noHiPSTER spera di importare in un paese come l’Italia, dove la diffusione nazionale ed internazionale di prodotti musicali è limitata, la più vasta quantità di materiale artistico possibile, cercando di rispettare sempre le leggi vigenti e le volontà di ogni artista.

4. noHiPSTER non crede nei singoli, rispetta invece la fatica e l’impegno che si cela dietro ogni progetto musicale, sintetizzati in album il cui ascolto per intero è indispensabile per sostenere una critica credibile nei confronti di quel determinato artista… nel bene e nel male.

5. noHiPSTER crede ancora nella critica, quindi troverete solo ciò che al filtro di questa critica viene sottoposto. Questo NON è un sito di music sharing come ”MySpace” o “Sound Clouds”. Detto questo, è nostra volontà accogliere lavori e suggerimenti provenienti da artisti emergenti o appassionati di musica, che vogliano sottoporsi o sottoporre un album a tale filtro, attraverso la sezione dedicata “collabora con noi” presente sul sito.

6. noHiPSTER odia il concetto di “genere” e lo ripudia. L’unico genere esistente è quello artistico, il resto (pop, rock, jazz, ecc) sono   etichette che limitano spesso anche solo il primo approccio ad una realtà musicale. Concetti anacronistici e di puro mercato ai quali questo sito non è interessato. Nonostante questo, per evitare un’eccessiva confusione o spaesamento rispetto la moltitudine di prodotti ascoltabili su questo sito, proponiamo una linea guida differente per la scelta dell’album più appropriato. Crediamo che ogni opera porti con sé un carico emotivo, un’esperienza. Ci sono album per delle situazioni, ed album per altre! Album adatti ad uno stato d’animo solitario, da assaporare in intimità, album per momenti di confronto e di gruppo. Ognuna di queste ”situazioni” viene approssimativamente sintetizzata, su questo sito, da COLORI, che non traducono un gusto o uno stile, ma l’emozione provata, durante l’ascolto, da chi scrive la recensione.
