This week's prompt was to record the first part of a trio.

I recorded some street musicians this weekend and did some tweaking in Ableton Live. At first, a little bit of tweaking. Then, a lot of tweaking!  81 bpm - I hope someone chooses this to be a left-panned rhythm!

A work inspired by Chopin's Prelude No. 4, it is a piece that generates expectation because it makes us, with its harmonic ambiguity, long for something that never comes.

Expectation

revisited a longer recording from my modular system, made a few weeks back - and picked a ~5min segment to focus on

addition - recorded a repeating loop with some granular processing from my modular system to sit in the background (low end)

arranged in ableton live - some automation (mainly filter cutoff)

added a stereo pair of field recordings (referenced in title)
