---------- The Xenakis Station. A long abandoned research station. A place always officially denied. The place now a fiction where shards of disputed truth remain.

The location still not de-classified. Remnants destroyed.

Last winter we got a phone call to say graffiti on an abandoned building on Redpoint Sound states" 'Xenakis broadcasts were made here' but official enquiries are still met with silence.

Faint memories remain like distant static or bursts of shortwave. --------------

This track is a part of LY001: Water, a mixtape dedicated to the indigenous struggle for self-determination and land and water stewardship released in May 2022. Inspired by Lumad people’s struggle to defend the Pulangi River (Mindanao, Philippines), Liyang Network Southern California's first mixtape called for contributors to respond to water in any and all of its forms and contexts.

All proceeds go to Liyang Network's Climate Justice Campaign and the Memorial Fund of the New Bataan 5 (Chad Booc, Jurain Ngujo, Elgyn Balonga, Robert Aragon and Tirso Añar)
